Nooteboom mega windmill transporter in action for the Maakaknuten project

For our client, Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy, Mammoet transported 22 wind turbines using the Nooteboom mega windmill transporter. For this, a journey had to be made from the port of Egersund through the mountains to the site near Maakaknuten, Norway. The transport shown in the video is of a top tower, 36 meters long and weighing 70 tons.

I'm assuming with something like this you've gotta have someone drive the route and make sure every bend, tunnel, bridge, etc. is navigable? It wouldn't be fun if halfway there you ended up on a one way with a hairpin turn the truck couldn't make.
