Know what I just now realized? Jean Jacket might've been able to get the decoy horse/flags out of its gullet ealier by transforming. However, one could make the arguement that JJ ONLY unravels itself for the sole purpose of appearing big & intimidating when it feels legitimately threatened by something that could rival its own ferocity on it's own territory.

What a great take on this film. Never thought about that. 100&, this is my favorite movie of all time. I loved it. Seeing in in theaters was such a ride. Truly so unpredictable. Kudos to Peele on this one.

What you said is what I find the most terrifying aspect of Jean jacket. What else could possibly be out there that required JJ to spill his guts out and use his big form as a defensive mechanism. Just shows there’s something out there that’s bigger and scarier.

I just noticed that while Jupe is looking up at Jean Jacket, some audience members were trying to leave. I also noticed the mother in the front row is holding her child while the father is holding and protecting their other kids when the sand is circling around them. Only survivor and witness to this tragedy is Lucky. Although Jupe never intended for anyone to be harmed or killed, he could've found other ways to reclaim fame as well as money and so many people and horses would be alive.

It's really fucked up. Especially when you can briefly see them dragging on the ground then getting lifted up. Jupe thinking he had this "connection" to tame animals and his trauma with Gordy is what got them all killed. You're right about one thing, he didn't mean to harm anyone. But feeding JJ the Haywood horses and putting his entire audience at risk. It's hard to feel bad for him. But that's just me.

They were alive while screaming, the moment the screams stopped was when they were crushed by JJ's stomach and had their blood spilled for JJ to mark territory.

Jean Jacket eats them, but he doesnt digest them until a certain time. Right before the rain, you can hear the crunch of them all being consumed. He then spits out their blood and items.

How is this latest Star Lasso Experience show different than the previous ones? If the previous shows actually showed the saucer, word of mouth would result in the Star Lasso Experience be packed to the max. I think that's a hole in the plot of this movie. We don’t expect movies to explain every detail of the plot, but the writing should have some exposition to provide context.

From what I understand, either the Star Lasso Experience was created especially to show JJ, so there were never others, or it was the first one that Jupe decided would show JJ.

This was the first and only Star Lasso Experience show. Although Jupe mentioned seeing the saucer (Jean Jacket) for the past 6 months, he didn't have an audience and only gave it horses trying to earn 'The Viewers' trust. Once he thought he had 'their' trust, he hosted this show with an audience for the first time to become famous again. He didn't realize the saucer was an animal until those final moments of looking up at it, seeing people sucked up in it, then himself into its throat as well as stomach.

Jupe was working on a new show when the damn saucer showed up and snatched the horse, he explained this, we all witnessed it. Eh technically they got swallowed and then left to sit in JJs digestive tract until it wore them down and JJ could consume them. Unfortunately though as we see later in the movie when JJ hovers over the house at night. none of them actually got digested. He basically used them as an enema to spit the decoy horse out.
