NOPOX - rid of nuisance algae the reef-safe way

Nopox works but the trouble is that it works almost too well. I would advise extreme caution on dosing recommendations given by redsea as it's too much. I use Nopox and all I need for my heavily stocked 100g mixed reef is around steady 2mls a day - that's reduction dosage. Maintenance doseage falls between 1.25-1.5mls a day. Every system is different and therefore it requires testing to tweak the right amount of dosage.

Thank you for your feedback. There's no minimum dose, and the does can be reduced by a drop to suit your system's needs (as every system is a bit different)

My Nitrate is around 60ppm but that's ONLY due to feeding my large Porcupine Puffer fish Cockles, Prawns, Squid etc and as you know they are messy eaters. Could NoPox help in this situation?

It can, you will need a good strong skimmer. Make sure the water you use for top up and water changes have no NO3 in them.

The NO3 and PO4 are reduce independent of each other. The are reduced by 2 different bacterial families. Dose NOPOX, reduce the NO3. You can feed a bit more to up the PO4.

Great question, you don't have to turn the system off. Just add it to your system and let the magic happen!

@@Redseafish Thank you for information, I have one more question for you, also i use Redsea AB +, and these two products are added to the aquarium daily, I do the process with a distance of 2 hours between them. do you think i am using it right? first RedSea AB+ and 2 hours later RedSea Algae management.

This is highly unlikely that a dose of 3ml or less per 100l would do that. For NOPOX to kill anything you would need much higher doses and not run a skimmer.
