I liked this video a lot! Even though you didn't have the greatest things to say about the games, it's still a nice look into games that would probably not been covered by other reviewers. I have a friend who is zany about cats and I'm sure T-Rex's holiday would go over much better than roll and writes with different themes, even if they are the mechanically better games.

When Efka mentioned Eye My Favourite Things a year ago, I immediately proxied my own copy. Gosh it's a gem!! It's not only funny, but it has lead to some interesting discussions in my group. It taught me more about my friends. Love it!! I hope a reprint or a 3rd edition comes because I will certainly be first in line =)

I liked Spring on a String a lot! At first I though it would be a silly kids game. It is not. It's a puzzler, where every game is very different (since there are tons of "rules cards" that are matched with colors). I also like how it uses very different material not typical for a board game.

I read Going Postal with enormous joy thinking it was an adaptation of Terry Pratchett's Discworld novel, but was immediately crushed knowing that the Pratchett estate doesn't sell the rights to hid catalog. After that I wondered why someone would make a game about shooting former co-workers at their place of business.

While not eye-deal, you could probably create this game with other things easily enough. note-cards and zip-lock baggies? It's not pretty, but it would work!

My biggest concern about Mirror Gardens would be the replayability - once you've solved a puzzle, how long is it before you can fairly play that garden again?
@NoPunIncluded4 жыл бұрын
It depends how good your memory is as you have to remember the correct combination of letters/numbers. There's about 60 different puzzles in the box though.

Not sure I follow the rules to “Eye my favourite things”. How do you know the value of the card you’re playing if you don’t know the position someone ranked it in?
@NoPunIncluded4 жыл бұрын
You don't! That's the game. Trying to figure out if your friend Bob thinks Episode 7 is a better Star Wars film than your friend Lisa thinks TNG is a better Star Trek series. Picking the right topic to give to your friend and being genuinely surprised by their answers is absolutely part of the fun.
@DullDishwater4 жыл бұрын
No Pun Included: But how does that work when you’re playing the cards? Everyone has to announce “oh this is my 5 card”, “well this is my 5 card”. Just seems like it would really slow down the game.
@at-smile4 жыл бұрын
@@DullDishwater I would assume after everyone drops their card with topic, you all drop cards and pull them out to evaluate the end of the trick. That way you can learn the person to their right's opinion on said topic. You don't announce, just reveal it.
@DullDishwater4 жыл бұрын
0b00000111 Aha! Pull them out. I didn’t understand that those numbers were hidden in the back of the thing people write on. That makes way more sense.
