So sad to see Nora has been moved from the Columbus to Oregon to Utah to Vienna Zoos. I hope and pray Nora comes back to the Oregon Zoo since Aurora and her cubs are at the Columbus Zoo.

This is an amazing video in observance of International Polar Bear Day. :) It really shows the importance of zoos in researching polar bears and what this facility has been able to accomplish with the research. I would love to visit the upcoming Polar Passage habitat when it’s completed. Also, this is a good video for remembering Conrad and Tasul’s roles in polar bear research. May both bears rest in peace.

Dear Oregon Zoo, is there any research into the polar bear hybrids? Any thoughts as that being a next step in an evolutionary survival? I wish that folks would quit shooting them until we have a chance to look into the possibilities.
