I love the way you described the weigh of everything being too much, and it reminds me of all the promises I made to myself. Congratulations on 40k!!!! So I mentioned before how sometimes your pauses are a little short, but you truly improved it completely with this one. Even in spaces for where the listener "performs an action" you gave enough pause for it realistically to happen, before continuing to talk, I know the blanket sfx probably helped, but I do want to commend you on judging the right timeframe to pause. Also love the little cues for when you start talking, really helps with the pauses as well. And I love how you're improving a lot with each upload, always great to see the range of emotion from high emotional scenes and intensive moments to the soft and comforting scenes of the sleep aids. This is such a sweet return to the softer sleep aid version of Nora, and I loved how by using the soft sounds, you were able to give the sense of distance between the outside world and the world of you and the listener, it was such a good thematic choice and worked so well with the words spoken and the atmosphere created. Also you kept the background sounds, realistic and interesting enough it set the scene but at no point did they overpower your words, adding to the softness of the atmosphere which helped with the tone. How you described the weight of the world and the pressures "you" feel was so poignant and poetic and was so refreshing and relatable in its honesty. Because its true sometimes we really dont feel like getting out of bed, and you always do such a good job with your scripts that you never sound patronising or condescending, whilst still showing a high level of empathy and compassion. Your tone and pacing was soft and sure and despite its volume and tone we could hear the assurance, affirmation and confidence for the listener and your feelings towards them. And the whole section about "would you be looking up at the same sky" I love that trope with my whole heart so I found that lovely 😅. Thank you so much for this as always

Wah! I'm so late to this. Thank you so much for the congratulations, melly! That contrast from the intense videos to the comforting sleep aid ones is very important to me. I don't want to typecast myself in a certain genre even if a specific brand of my audios performs a hundred times better, so hearing how I've improved with these softer audios (and in general) is very important to me. Thank you for that! 🤍 I enjoy making sleep aids so much because I never have to think about it a lot. I plan the setting, how to start the story, and ramble on from there! So it's a different type of warmth hearing people relate to the words I say (and how I say them) because I'm the most "myself" in these types of videos more than the others. I always think star gazing is a really romantic and comfortable thing. Actually, I was a person who’s kinda withdrawn and lonely in junior high school. Every day after school, I went back home alone while most of my classmates had their friends hanging around. I overcame the aloneness and sadness by star gazing. I greeted the stars every day, and talked about my day to them on the way home. They couldn’t reply but their twinkle in the dark warmed my heart. Idk if this is too much to share but I know this asmr was suppose to make me feel warm but all it did was make we cry for 30 min. Nora your words really touched some deep part of my heart I didn’t know needed a hug and the tears just didn’t stop falling.
