It’s difficult to express with simple words the beauty of this performing of Carnival Town, Norah. For me, the most beautiful moment is when you arrive to Lonely making your piano sing as a choir caressing my soul with your marvelous and sweet voice. ♥️

When I grow up, I want to be Norah Jones. Beautifully done, and somehow puts me at ease even more than the original.

Back in Summer 2019, I joined US work and travel program alone (J1 student) and was freakin’ lonely. I lived near by a carnival town themed park by Seawall stree. I used to listen to this song. It brings back lonely hustling life nostalgia time before the pandemic lol😷😂

From the various songs from that album "Carnival Town" is the song that pulled at the ol' heart strings. This performance just Norah at the piano and expressing from the heart it's a gift. Much thanks Norah.

I’m not a musician, but I’ll try to explain; there is this almost missing the note/notes Willie Nelsonesque. He does that when he solos. Norah, you did it the entire song, solos, between the verses. Maybe I’m not explaining it right. But my point is that I get off so much on that kind of playing. Put so many notes into each measure. Variations of firsts, thirds, fittest. Not just playing it simple. Not just playing the record over. Garcia would say “Norah’s not performing AT us, she’s performing for us.” Thanks for becoming a musician and not something else.
