I hear this song and it transports me back to the summer of 2002, when the love between me and a wonderful man I had met was exciting and new, and I would drive over two hours at least twice a week to see him. I would play Norah Jones CD's over and over, singing along with the sunroof open. This April, we'll be celebrating our 18th wedding anniversary. I live for sweet memories like this.

My mom had this song burnt into a dvd and played it for me every night on an old dvd player in my room when i was an infant. Every single night since i was born to probably mid elementary school. I was too young to recognize it at the time but looking back at it now that song was literally my comfort song. I am 17 now and i swear i cant get through the first 20 seconds of this song without bawling i am that much emotionally connected to this song. I love you mom. I appreciate you more than i could ever even express and i want to make you proud. As for now, goodnight and sleep well listening to Norah Jones ❤

I chose this song at my grandma's funeral after she passed away during lockdown. It was the final song as we walked away from her coffin and I feel that she did 'come away with me' that day. We would drive for miles in her car listening to this song and I played it to her when she was in the hospice (before we weren't allowed to visit her) which although she couldn't speak.. She smiled like she was reminiscing. I love you grandma.. Until we meet again. SB ❤️ XXXX

I know this may be overlooked but I really have no one to talk to. My baby boy turns 1 in 3 weeks and a few days ago this song suddenly rested in my spirit. I put it on and played it repeatedly, and for the first time in over a year, I felt a sense of peace that I haven’t experienced in a long time (even with baby crashing into the walls with his walker 😅). I’ll never forget again how this song made me feel in such a time when I needed the peace and comfort. God bless you, Ms. Jones.

We have all been alone, some of us terribly alone. I had a conversation with a wonderful friend two hours ago who I shared this song with a year or so ago, and she loves this song now too. Sharing, which can be many things, but rarely objects, is one way out. I feel for you. I've been there. With music you are on the right path. "Without music life would be a mistake." Some suggestions: Keith Jarrett (The Koln Concert); Eva Cassidy; Joan Baez; Ana Vidovic (Alhambra; Asturias); Armstrong; Fitzgerald...I could go on all night and into the morning. For what it's worth, as Dylan sang "Said your darkest hour, is right before the dawn". Sometimes it's even true. Be well.

Thank you for your service. When I was very young (I’m 17 now) my father was very abusive to my mother and me. Sometimes it would get so bad that we’d have to leave and mother would listen to this and all of John Mayor’s stuff and she’d just drive. She’d drive until we barely had gas in the car and I’d fall asleep crying to this. Nora and John’s works have a very emotional value to me. Again, thank you for defending our nation.

It took a longtime, To find the real and deep reason I so love this song. My mother, was a mean abusive, neglecting person. A alcoholic with bipolar disorder. The treatment for that in the 60's were very severe.... The few times, my mother would be a mom. She would sound like Norah. And the words fit her....... So many bad things in our lives, can hold us down. Finding the good, and letting go of the bad. Helps to raise above them. Thank You Norah Jones, For helping..... With the healing.

The first CD he ever gave me was Norah Jones...and I remember, like the song says... laying in bed, his arms, listening to rain on our tin roof, while feeling so safe... In 2 weeks I will be playing this song at his memorial service. I miss him so much. 1/23/21***I now have a memorial tattoo that says "Come Away with Me, And I'll Never Stop Loving You...4-8-20..." It has taken this long to listen to this song again. Norah if you knew for a second the impact your music had, you would be rich till your end of days. maybe not earthly riches but the angels would definitely be on your side. For the days are dark and the nights longer, my brothers in arms are numerous and stronger. and although they may not recognise their gift, we await the call your songs our souls do lift.

Lyrics [Verse 1] Come away with me in the night Come away with me And I will write you a song [Verse 2] Come away with me on a bus Come away where they can't tempt us With their lies [Bridge] And I want to walk with you On a cloudy day In fields where the yellow grass grows knee-high So won't you try to come [Verse 3] Come away with me and we'll kiss On a mountaintop Come away with me And I'll never stop loving you [Instrumental Interlude] [Outro] And I want to wake up with the rain Falling on a tin roof While I'm safe there in your arms So all I ask is for you To come away with me in the night Come away with me

Gladly, let me know when, and where. I'll meet up half way and we can bugger off somewhere, how's that? I don't mind that at all. X ⚘ And I love this song, good choice! ❤

I first learned about Norah when I was in tech school in the military. Norah calmed me down so fast it was crazy. She made me relaxed enough to study AND fall asleep and ready for the next day

You know... I'm in my thirties, and at this very moment I'm listening to this song for the first time in my life. And I have tears in my eyes. This is... Stunning. Yet, simple. Incredibly talented but simple. This is the definitiom of beauty in simplicity.

Oh man have YOU been missing out, buddy. You finally found Norah. I can't imagine a life where I didn't find out about Norah. Heard Don't know why on Radio 2 in late 2001. Come away with me a few months later. It blew me away and completely re-wrote what I thought music was. And then I got the album when it came out. She's had her hooks in me ever since and I am a WILLING serf. Got all her albums, missing only 1 LP [Begin again] and 3 of her side projects [but I will get around to those] Welcome to the club, but your her's forever now, buddy.
