If melancholy and nostalgia had a musical baby, it would be this timeless song.

I'm definitely not a music industry professional, but i somehow perceive that this immensely gifted artist was substantially under-promoted and under-produced. Norah Jones should've had a front-row seat at the Grammys 10 yrs running+. That voice and song writing talent was grievously undersold and overlooked. I will treasure her gifts to her appreciative public forever

Norah always wanted to keep a low profile she never wanted too much attention. She wrote many of her own songs I dont understand why people say she never wrote any songs. She is a Grammy award winner.

@@jjfreeman563 thank you for your support brotha. The most important thing I learned in the military is discipline, I know it’s pretty cliche but it is, in the Marine Corp we drill non stop to perfection and that’s what I’ve been doing especially in engineering. This song will forever stick with me, but the memory I have attached to it is very depressing , but in a comforting way. Last year, around June, my mother overdosed, and I sat and watched her die in the floor.. but luckily they revived her in the ambulance. It was so chaotic and my brain was absolutely numb.. like nothing, I couldn’t even processed what had just happened. I remember hearing this song afterwards in my grandmas car driving away from the hospital . and it instantly became a comforting song to me. I listened to it so much ... because something about it really just comforted me in that dark depressing time in my life. Thankfully now, she is sober .. and almost has been for 6 months. Not sure what I’m trying to say here but yeah... weird period of my life and even still I go back and listen to this it will forever remind me of that day.

Of strength of what you all have been through?!?! The song is a beautiful one i just read all the words n didnt quite get the lyrics I do now. I got sober before my mom she passed in 2015 w 22 years of sobriety, i went to alanon to help me see all the chaos wasn't on me.

Don't Know Why" I waited 'til I saw the sun I don't know why I didn't come I left you by the house of fun I don't know why I didn't come I don't know why I didn't come When I saw the break of day I wished that I could fly away Instead of kneeling in the sand Catching teardrops in my hand My heart is drenched in wine But you'll be on my mind Forever Out across the endless sea I would die in ecstasy But I'll be a bag of bones Driving down the road alone My heart is drenched in wine But you'll be on my mind Forever Something has to make you run I don't know why I didn't come I feel as empty as a drum I don't know why I didn't come I don't know why I didn't come I don't know why I didn't come
