I feel you man. My mother passed about 3 years ago and yeah when you’re jus living, you don’t think of them and you’re really happy but then that one thing comes up and you remember them. You remember the good times you had with them and all the hardship as well. But hey, what are you gonna do? You just gotta enjoy the music of life and roll with the punches. Live well my friend.

While other celebs and musicians are struggling for relevancy in these strange times. Norah just pops up and plays us a few tunes with no bells nor whistles. No lectures or trying to say how she understands what were going through. No BS. Just pure raw talent. Just magical! I am in awe of this woman ❤❤❤

@Average Sheep So let me get this right.......You DON'T like Billie Eilish or Post Malone? It's not really clear 😂 Why are you spouting this drivel on here. Ruining what should be a peaceful and pleasant experience all so you can go off on one about 2 people that have nothing to do with this video. Why don't you feck off over to their videos to vomit your diatribe and leave us in peace to enjoy Norah.

When this song came out, I was living in a city where I didn't have many friends, and felt totally isolated because the people around me were living really unhealthy, unsafe lives. I felt like I couldn't find my way. The sheer beauty of this album offered me a lot of solace in that time. Eventually, I moved away and built a really happy life. This past week I was back in that same city. I was in a beautiful restaurant (that didn't even exist when I was living in the city) and this song came on. I felt a sudden wash of compassion for myself and everyone I knew in that time. Thank you, Norah for sharing your gift over these many years.

Listening to norah makes me think of being a little girl and listening to it in the car with my mother. I am now almost 19 and my mother is now in her 50s and we were in the car together not too long ago and i put on norah. My mom looked over at me and said “I never get sick of listening to her” and i said “Neither do i” but i also knew this was my moms way of saying that these kinds of moments together will always be happy and special.

I have this same experience, but this was my nightmare song as I grew up lol. My mom would play it all the time when we were going to sleep and I would have nightmares of being stuck in the middle of the ocean with nothing in sight. I've grown to love the song as I've gotten older along with other Norah Jones songs. I'm 23 now and I still listen to her songs with my mom whenever I get to see her!

@@brianmgrim A camera's microphone isn't a typical microphone a singer will use during performance. Many professional singers use vocal enhancements that filter through their microphone to better their voice. This isn't the case here. I see how ignorant and sarcastic you're being, so you're comment is pretty pointless aha. But to clear your confusion not many singers can sit at a piano, sing and sound as good or better, with no professional microphone or vocal enhancements, than their vocals recorded in a recording studio.

If I read her correctly, I’m guessing that that’s exactly what she would want; for someone to listen to her rendition of her simple, yet extremely musically and emotionally sophisticated song and to accept it on its own terms without the filter of MTV and the Record Machine, Inc. To me, it makes no difference. All the hoopla and bells and whistles is like painting a big broad smile on the Mona Lisa or straightening the Leaning Tower of Pisa. Listening to her on an upright piano in a regular domestic environment proves the power of her musical magic. I suspect that works just fine for her.
