I've been following Noraly since India, and I have to say she is my favourite KZbinr of all time. Her personality, humour, interactions with people of every race, and the travel itself is soooo entertaining. And when she comes across some sort of geological formation her excitement level increased tenfold. The fact that she speaks English (as well as other languages) is a bonus, and you have to laugh when some "Australianisms" creep into the narration. I hope her recovery is on track and she returns to our screens very soon.
@hansolo21216 ай бұрын
"Australianisms"? What do you mean by that? She is Dutch not Australian....
@roar6666 ай бұрын
@@hansolo2121 you know she lived in Australia while working, right?
@hansolo21215 ай бұрын
@@roar666 I know. But she only lived in Australia for 6 months... That is only a short time really. She learned English in school and she worked all over the world in MANY countries for about 6 years after her Australia adventure. Her accent is a typical Dutch accent. It is the accent from her native region in The Netherlands she is from (not all Dutch have the same accent when speaking English). And as the Dutch were the first western European country to discover and populate Australia there is a lot of Dutch influence and ancestery there. It is actually the other way around in terms of who influenced who in terms of accent:) 'Australian English' has a bit of the Dutch accent Noraly also has. So maybe that is why you confuse Noralys accent for having Australian influence.
@roar6665 ай бұрын
@@hansolo2121 for starters, I never mentioned her accent. An "Australianism" is not an accent. Some of the little sayings and exclamations Noraly uses are very Australian. Also, you're a bit off about history. Even though the Dutch may have been the the earliest to visit, they never establish any sort of population. It wasn't until late in the 1700's when some Dutch came and stayed, and that was part of the English colonisation, not Dutch.

Baas boven baas. En dan jij met je 160K kilometers. Bijzonder avontuurlijk en ondernemend. Petje af! Een fan vanuit Ecuador.

Good to see Noraly on screen again, and promoting her book, I don’t speak Dutch but it was great all the same. I couldn’t believe that she wasn’t moaning in pain and also didn’t go into shock as I did when I snapped my Fibula at my Ankle, when I broke my other one in the same spot, I was alone in the bush with my dog, and didn’t go into shock, because I had to get myself some help, luckily for me I could use my arms and other leg, and I had some phone signal. As a kid I broke my collarbone’s very painful, and my Mum had to feed wash and dress me for weeks, the Dr told her I had bruised my bones cos in the 70’s they just took you to the Dr the next day. I can’t imagine being in Africa on a deserted dirt road and knowing you can’t walk or use you arm. Thank goodness she was found by a 4x4 full of Dr’s but a 5hr + drive to hospital, and then a flight home, she is incredibly strong and determined, such an amazing Woman and biker.

This woman is simply perfect. Always friendly and nice to people and also very nice to animals. Always positive. Life is sometimes hard, but through the bad experiences, Noraly has become the most fascinating woman. Thank you Noraly for showing us the world through your wonderful eyes!

It's first time I see her speaking not in english. 😄 Have been watching her channel for about 4 years, and now I bought a motorcycle myself. I hope she will cross my country someday when there will be a peace.

I turned on subtitles and then asked for automatic translation and bingo! So glad Noraly seems to be doing super well! I miss her adventures!
