A Cartridge. A bullet is what comes out the end when fired. It is a .22 Long Rifle size, solid point. There were BB, Shorts and Medium sizes.

Hi, Nora (and Hello, Nora's mom). Loved the view from your room's balcony. Anyway, I think I preferred your 2nd location, although I'm fairly sure you would have found more treasure items around the platform area.. stupid made up goggles rule. I'm wondering if there used to be a wooden safety fence and/or viewing platform where the people were jumping off. Might account for the nails. Nice silver ring find, though. Thanks for sharing 👍

The stone looks like pink sapphire. They are very expensive - from $600 for 1.35 carat to about $7000 for 3+ carat... depending on the 4 c's: clarity, cut, carat, and colour... just like diamonds.

Those curly tail jigs are quite effective for fishing. For anyone who doesn’t know, the curly tail wiggles like a fish’s tail when the jig is reeled in.

I lot of "guarded" swim areas including outdoor pools are banning dive masks, simply because if you are in a life/death situation getting someone back to breathing on their own, is hampered by a dive mask.

Out of site, out of mind is one of my rules detecting. Although I don't follow rules or regulations, or heed signs, I do have my own rules. Never leave trash behind, adequately cover up all digs, keep quiet, never disturb wildlife, and leave no trace.

I think you need to take your dangerous found items to the lifeguards so they can SEE what their swimmers at risk from getting hurt with.... Fish hooks and nails etc.... WE all understand that you are making the waters a safer place and removing the items that can hurt people....

The bottle opener has a hole to use on canned goods (usually canned meat or sardines) that had rim you could peal off. Haven't seen one of those in 50 years.

Nails are likely from a dock which at one point that concrete slab was likely the base for. That bullet looks like a .22 caliber and that indeed looks to be a bottle opener. Hope this helps.
