A few of those caps look like they have seen some serious heat! The sleeves being shrunk like that would make me replace them! Can't wait for the next installment!

I have seen that mainly on the main filter caps on these later models, I am starting to think they were made that way, or they use very low temperature heat shrink on those. This thing showed very low signs of overheating.

It's a pain in a neck to disassembly any recevier which is not a stereo receiver as this recevier. Why the manufacturer don't think about maintenance.

It’s because they are packing so much inside these receivers they have to figure out ways to stack them inside the smallish box. Newer receivers with 11 channels and up are even worse inside.

Is volume at zero when you are using the bias test point to test DC offset? My bias test point is showing 13.5ma but the manual says 8.5 +/-.5 but the potentiometers don’t go lower than 12.

I have not had much success with networking. Make sure the firmware is up to date even if you have to use a USB (if that is even possible). Do a "reset to factory" complete reset before you give up. If all else fails try to contact the manufacturer technical assistance.

denons are notorious for the voltage regs to go out in the power supply causing the same symptoms

I have replaced many +15 and -15 regulators, mostly in older units though. All this needs is B+, B-, and ground to operate the amp.
