Bigger hammer. Lol. 3lb drilling hammer($20). Mine's going on 40+ years. It's small to get in tight places and has more mass so you don't have to swing as hard. Place jack under tie-rod stud and apply some pressure. Hit knuckle arm, as you did, with the drilling hammer. Use anti-seize when replacing anything. You could position the Crescent wrench so you could apply upward force using the floor jack. Just a thought.

put the nut back on the bolt your gong to mushroom the bolt and jimmy the end of the threads Shame on you
