THE most important keyboard I EVER owned. I’ve had my NE2 for +15y. It’s like an old friend. Bought and sold like 10 Stage Pianos in that era. Also have the NS3 now, which is a KILLER stage board. Great piano/pads….. BUT whenever I need REAL funky or vibe stuff, it’s the NE2. Sickest clavi/autowah in the entire business…. And no matter how many B3 variations I hear (except the real thing), NOTHING cuts or surpasses the B3 in the electro 2. It’s a keeper. Forever. Like MY best keyboard EVER. And I had them ALL since like 35 years ago…. Yay for NE2. Great review, Dr. Mix 🎹⭐️🔥

Yep did the B3 on my Nord Electro 2 on 2 albums several years back and all the sound guys just couldn’t believe that little keyboard could pull it of which it did tremendously ❤️

I owned a NE2 (73) for 15 years. Replaced it with a Nord Stage 3. Kept it in prime condition despite the countless gigs I played with it. The person who bought it from me was impressed with how barely-used it looked. I will say that I miss the auto-wah effect on the NE2 that the NS3 lacks, and the Clav samples on the NE2 cut way better in the mix than the NS3's Clavinet.

As a Nord Stage 3 and Nord Electro 6d owner, the Electro 2 still holds up! Lots of development in all the sections for the latest models, but for 2002, not too bad :D

I have a Stage 2 and ended up selling my Electro 2. The organ and EP sounds of the Electro 2 could hold strong. The only problem I had was the acoustic piano which was nowhere near the Stage 2, but it still sounded great! I miss and wish I never sold it because the EP was better on the Electro 2 for me

I still hold that the Stage 3 is one of my absolute favorite synths. The acoustic samples are killer, the B3 sounds super nice, and even though the synth isn't as deep as I would like it still objectively sounds good.

This one Ghost used a lot between 2013-2015. Has amazing live flexibility as far as I've seen *correction: It was the Nord Electro 3 along with a Moog Little Phatty stage II

I own a Nord Stage 2 EX, and still I find my Electro 2 a lot more playable and accessible on many occasions. I have owned an Electro 3 as well, and already with that one I felt that they were moving away from the concept of the Electro; a virtual electromechanical keyboard that does that job super good. No multi-function potmeters/buttons and cluttered interface like the Nord 2/3, just plain sounds.

FWIW, after trying the Crumar long throw universal expression pedal, Roland EV-5, Yamaha FC-7 and the Moog EP-3, the Moog is by FAR the best expression pedal for the organ swell for the Electro 2.

I've played the Hell out of mine. Rugged. Love the key bed for organ. Verb is not necessary ...live. No pitch bend or mod.... can be a good thing! Too tempting. Random organ preset step scroll is cool'

I used one of these live, my band leader had it and loaned it to me. I loooved the action on the keys for organs. I was loaned a nord electro 5 for a period of 3 weeks while playing live on the street and it was amazing but I was still amazed at how limited it is for it being such an expensive piece of gear. They really need some more functionality. I for example wanted a synth bass and synth lead split and for the second half of the song I needed synth bass and piano. Sadly you don't have 2 synth engines and stuff like this isn't possible.
