NordKapp to Portugal PART 23 Reached the dirt roads of France. Solo Motorcycle Camping trip. AJP PR7

So many and so beautiful paved roads until I reached TET section number 4 of France. Will see what am I gonna get over here. A little boring so far after the Italian hardcore :D

In my experience, long rocky downhill sections are much easier when I pull the clutch and coast using only the brakes to control speed. This unloads the suspension and allows it to work freely.

I know, and thanks for the warning. Noticed that when I was editing the video. Actually, there are 2 times in this video with the same mistake. I hope you had a good laugh at the "she left me" moment 😆😆

Hey, Peter, yes I did see that double clip, but it was already uploaded and I did not want to redo it one more time. Simply did not have time anymore. Apps are simple- TET app, Osmand, and Google Maps. The weather channel app for the weather forecast. Internet is my own subscription from Norway. Not cheap, but fast and unlimited. Yellow humor 😂😂😂

I have a Husqvarna 701 Long Range (the 'fat' one with +/- 500km range) and for gear I carry the following; Waterproof Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 3 with 512GB micro SD card; I use it for OSM navigation and OBD display via a OBDLink MX+ dongle (reads engine errors, RPM, speed, TPMS(tire pressure monitor)...) For software, DMD2 (paid OBD & navigation software that is probably already installed on your dashboard tablet) and 'iOverlander' and 'bunk-a-biker' (free lodging around the world) are also very useful, I find. The Samsung tablet is powerful enough to be used as laptop replacement; internet connection, weather maps, video editing,... together with a NewQ filehub (has built in battery and can do automatic backups without PC) and for my backups; a 4TB SSD, they are not that expensive anymore. GoPro Max with several 256GB cards. PS; You mentioned before you have a 4TB HDD. I used to work in IT and would strongly advice against a spinning hard drive ; it is bound to break down, especially on a huge vibrator like your bike, even when not powered up (the disk, not the bike 🙂) Anyway, thanks for the info & safe travels!

@@PeterR0035 That was some answer I'll have to google to understand :D :D Jokes aside, I did answer to you real fast while was having a coffee break. Talking about the galaxy tab- yes and a big YES! The one I have on my bike is just a... how to say- a masterpiece that is supposed to be shown in the history classes. Just I don't even know why AJP even bothers to put one over there. I will look to upgrade it for my future trips to tab 3 or 4. That HDD I have is just in a very very extra case, but I hear you here. bunk a biker, I think that would have been cool, but too late now, I guess. I have to change my plans and... will explain that in a video. By the way, not sure how to feel about you calling my bike a "huge vibrator" 😅😅😅😅😅😅. Thanks, man looks like I should get some consultation about all the dongles you have.

Normally you wouldn't be able to do it.

Darn it, I did miss your advice and that is a brilliant idea. I was always trying to put it on my seat, but that time the rain came so fast and intense, I don't even remember where I put it when I was trying to jump into my rainsuit.

Did over 850km a day a couple times and I have no problems with that, I am going to release some videos soon. Have to be careful- MotoZ or stock tires are very dangerous over 110 km an hour.
