No, this type of music is not underrated. You only have to look at the huge success of bands such as Yellowjackets, Fourplay, Pat Metheny to name a few. This beautiful smooth track is very melodic and very accessible. There's a massive demand for this style of Jazz. It's of equal calibre to the highly rated bands I've previously mentioned. The composition and musicianship is top draw.
