I'm a young petrolhead that luckily drives a manual Mini Cooper s f56. I'm an amateur learning more everyday on what surrounds cars. Feel free to let me know your opinions, advices, recommendations or questions.

On others I have seen late braking into the corner which messes up exit speed. Missed apexes etc. This guy is good. I saw him choose some lines through turns that was just one continual long turn linked through multiple apexes with steady throttle which keeps the fore and aft weight from shifting while at high speeds making for better cornering. Wonderful driving.

Thank you very much for your comment, means a lot! When I look back at those videos I see so many driving mistakes, it still was my beginning driving in general. I am gaining experience and I feel like I am improving in that regard. One thing is for sure, I can't wait to finish the build of the car. She will be very difficult to drive fast and I'am so excited to get back behind its steering wheel !

Hi I see that you are using the michelin pilot sport cup 2 in 225/40r18 on the OZ 8x18 ET45 wheel I am actually looking to fit some coilovers and I know that KW have some more clearance than others but I m also interested in NITRONS and would like to use either some OZ wheels same sizing as yours or some NM eng in 7.5x18 ET 40... I also want tu use sticky and wider tyres but the advan A08R is not available anymore in 215/40r18 and not many good tyres available in those sizes (225/40r18 or 225/35r18 or 215) How is the clearance between tyre and strut with the 225/40r18? Does the fender had to be trimmed and do you still touch? Do you theink the MPSC2 in 225/40r18 would fit on a 7.5 rim? Are you in any Mini forum?

Hey @r34gtrmc thank you for your comment! I have tried the bilstein b16 and the kw clubsport at the moment. I had to use 5mm spacers for the front with the bilstein and I could remove them later with the kw. I liked more the clubsport, it's the best compromise for road and track use I guess. Unfortunately you don't get much camber from the heads. I'm looking after a solution at the moment to get more camber. I know Nitron have a special kit used in the mini challenge uk not the one listed on their website. For the tires, it's a problem indeed, I had to cut some of the front fenders because it's rubbing on track, you can hear on the video when there is a compression ( 2:20 ). It's still rubbing at the rear now... In 18", 225 is the smallest you can get. 17" should be better, bigger side wall as well. I can't answer to your question unfortunately, but the cup 2 in 225 with the 18" wheels on a lowered f56 will rub. Thank you really much for your comment ! I hope you liked the lap :) They are not the solution for cooling since it creates different temp (inside/outside) of the disc. Still got twisted discs back then. I got them from the Mini Challenge uk

Hi, I have Clubman 2.0 196 HP ALL 4. I am wondering, if a time would be much worse than your. It is heavier but with 4x4. Did you measure on dyno a power?

It's better to drive for self enjoyment than lap times but I'm sure the clubman is very capable on the Nordschleife :) I have driven against the new jcw clubman in Zolder, faster in straights but not in corners ;)

@@BlackBettyF56 Hi, and what is the POWER? :) I plan to do some chip tuning in Poland. They make 260 HP just by reprogramming ECU. It costs in Poland 400 euro = $. But I hate in Mini and BMW run flat tires. The noise from tires is so huge, that I can not speak > 100 km/h. I bought normal tires Michelin Pilot sport 4 and I will check if it will be more quiet. I hope.

The engine is stock and has the original map at the moment. I'm putting the car on a dyno next week in order to know more about the figures. A legit remap/flash with dyno tests cost about 600/700 euros in Belgium :) Great tires, great choice!

Great driving, enjoyed your video! Do you plan on chip tuning to gain more power since you already have all the supporting mods? I know you don't NEED more power to have fun on the Ring but if you want to achieve best possible time and dip below 8 minutes it might help. I looooved watching those Krumm guys and their r56 posting 7:38!!! That was freaking amazing to watch, I probably watched it at least 10 times. I wish I could take my JCW to the Ring, I'd literally spend all my money running around it till they kicked me out or till the money runs out :-) Anyways, great job and good luck for all your future runs!

I would like to get more power indeed, I don't know very well about mapping but I will be looking after stronger internals and upgrade the turbo a little. The goal would be a more powerful, reliable car around the gp3 engine figures ;-) Me too, the krumm f56 has the fastest btg lap at the moment if I'm right. I have watched these videos as well! @@BlackBettyF56 OK, very nice car! Did you buy the car with the JCW exterior parts, front bumper etc.? I have a late 2015 MCS as well with a similar setup to yours, not as many track oriented upgrades though.. But with the old JCW trim pack, which only came with rear spoiler and steering wheel.. I really want the rest of the exterior parts, but the cheapest i can find for all the parts is €2000, and then paint + labour is added on top of that...

@@alexanderjohnson4563 I had the cooper s body kit at first and I have changed over the JCW body kit about 2 years ago! Done in a mini/bmw dealer over Belgium. My whole JCW kit will be for sale before the end of 2020 as I'm planning to install the mini challenge body kit now. Thank you very much :))

@@alexanderjohnson4563 New kit and the few parts that need to be changed as well will be more than that. Plus paint. Best is to ask your dealer :) I had a different case with insurance coverage as someone bumped my rear.
