Yes but also not as much as he'd shit himself today. An F40's value was absolutely not even close to what they are worth today. I remember reading an article in 2005 where one was on sale for 250k. It's the equivalent to hitting a F8 today, which makes you shit yourself, but it's not a 2.5 million car

Danke für den Upload,das waren schon geile Zeiten damals und wenn man sieht wie so manch heute verhätschelter Youngtimer mal so richtig durchgeblasen wurde und ein Ferrari oder Porsche zu dem benutzt wurden wofür sie eigentlich gebaut wurden..schon klasse. Der F40 und der F50 sind heute so nicht mehr anzutreffen drum schon eine seltene Aufnahme Danke dafür

Freue mich immer, wenn diese alten Aufnahmen gefallen. War damals ein höherer Aufwand als heute. Mussten große Kameras durch die Gegend schleppen, für ausreichend Strom sorgen etc, um dann in Video8 Qualität zu filmen. Der Apfelhandy Generation von heute unverständlich, hat sie doch ihre 4k Kamera in der Hosentasche und 2 min später alles im Netz;-) Danke fürs positive Feedback

More like amazing to see how much better people are at learning tracks on modern sims - you can't go fast, really fast, on a track you don't know. And learning a track in the 90's could only be done by... driving it. I hit the grass on that turn a few times my first few runs on assetto corsa

Grossartig, vielen Dank für den upload. Erinnert mich an meine gelegentlichen Ausflüge an die Nordschleife. Auch ich verlor mal meine Porsche 993 RS etwas weiter vorne im Regen allerdings bei einer Schulung. Nach einer längeren Karriere als Sportfahrer muss ich schmunzeln, denn man sieht einfach, dass hier viele Überambitionierte ohne Fahrtechnik am Werk sind. In gewissen Fällen fürchtet man um das Leben der Insassen in den Cabrios. Da ist dann definitiv fertig mit lustig.

An der Stelle bin ich 89 mit meiner mbx in der ersten Runde auch geradeaus gefahren. Hauptsache "volle Pulle" die Fuchsröhre runter. Man muss ja die 10 PS voll ausnutzen. War für mich die geilste Zeit. Heute sind die meisten richtig agro und nehmen auf keinen Rücksicht.Habe manchmal richtig Magenschmerzen, wenn ich mit meiner Tochter und dem Youngster ( 1989) mal ein paar Runden drüber fahre. Ist nicht mehr wie früher.

Ich war noch nie auf der Nordschleife aber aus Aufnahmen habe ich ebenfalls das Gefühl bekommen, dass damals (vor der weiten Verbreitung des Internets etc.) die Nordschleife-Touristenvariante viel eher eine herausfordernde mautpflichtige Straße ohne Tempolimit war. Jeder, der sich hingetraut hatte war willkommen. Heutzutage ist es eine Rennstrecke dominiert von Hobbyrennfahrern mit großem Ego, wehe man macht ihre Rundenzeit kaputt (die man eigentlich sowieso nicht messen sollte)...

Nicht messen"darf"! Aber ... wenn juckt's schon. Hauptsache man kann nachher damit rumprollen. Ist eh Schwachsinn, ab Galgenkopf ist Schluss. Man kann nochmal kurz Gas geben und dann heisst es ausrollen. Kannst keine Runde durchfahren. Auf der Strecke tun sich manchmal Abgründe auf. Und die schlechtesten Fahrer haben das größte Ego.
