Noreaga/N.O.R.E was a big piece of that late 90s post-boom-bap, from Unsigned Hype in the Source in 1994, through the "LA, LA" song that factored into the "East/West" beef, to the classic 1997 album C-N-N's The War Report, which is a Queens-90s sounding, sample-heavy album in the style of Mobb Deep, through The Neptunes-produced futuristic, frantic and minimalistic "Superthug" single and his solo album which also includes "Banned From TV", one of Swizz Beatz's earliest and most anthemic tracks plus masterful verses by Big Pun, Nature, and Styles/Jadakiss, to getting on the "Middle Eastern/Indian" beat wave with "Nothing"...then dipping into Reggaeton, and eventually blowing up as the host of Drink Champs. Dude is one of those Forrest Gump type stories, popping up many places in hip-hop history, similar to Pharrell himself. My favorite will always be the CNN/N.O.R.E days
