Nice set of trains, Rowan. As you know, where you were is just north of Enola Yard near Marysville PA. Many of the trains out of Atlanta & Columbia SC head north through Greensboro and I can catch a bunch of them on they’re way to Enola. Get job, AGAIN!! THANKS!

the 7th train is NS 20Q which is a daily Chicago IL-Harrisburg PA and the 8th train is NS 21T which is a daily Harrisburg PA-Kansas City MO and the one that was stopped while 22W 20Q & 21T went through was NS 91Z which is an As Needed Herzog ballast train that heads to Birdsboro pa

Looked liked a busy day. Had a little of everything going on. Looks like you got two salutes, that's rare. You had a five pulling (sounded like one of them was along for the ride), a DPU, a coal load and a bunch of intermodals. What a view at that lake. Is that a watch station or just a private building. Hey Rowan,you were in my old backyard! My old high school was right over the hill in New Bloomfield[ Perry County],and up the road was Newport,where we got our trains,going home,both East,and West,for the holidays! And a bunch of old grads,hopefully still live in the area! As a side note,the trains,depending on destination,go to Enola,or Rutherford Yards,for breakdown,and classification! Enola was the old PRR yard,and Rutherford was the ex-Reading yard,so putting things in context! Also did you check out Rockville Bridge,it's spectacular,and historic to boot! Central Pennsylvania is dear to my heart,as I spent 3 years there,and did a few railfanning trips,with some buddies of mine,miss that beautiful country side,and really nice people 😀! Thanks for evoking some super memories 😊😀❤☺♥! P.S.,your protégé is well on his way,and what 12 or 13 years old,wow,!! More power to him,and your encouragement can't hurt one bit!! Thanks again for your attention ☺!

These were two good places to catch Norfolk Southern trains on the Pittsburgh Line. You two caught quite a number of trains at these locations. The coal drags were awesome. Thank you for documenting these trains and for sharing them with us!
