It’s always amazing seeing footage of Lebanon before the bridges were built. That first scene is one of my favorite shots I’ve ever seen. The trickle-down effect of those railroad crossings is marvelous!

This was incredible. The Conrail power, the SD40-2's and CR heritage, the sunset with CP, and everything else was incredible!!!

@a300b4f It's borrowed. A Norfolk Southern crew is operating the train. Class I railroads borrow each other's locomotives all the time. They monitor the activity so each railroad is properly compensated for the use of locomotives on foreign rails.

@GenesisSanctuary I think you might be right about it being a P5. I have to check my archives. I remember seeing 7500 leading an intermodal over the summer and I'm pretty sure it had a clean P5 then. Thanks for watching!

Nice comp! I see you were lucky enough to get one of those last two blue SD60I's, I'm sure they'll both be black by the time I get out to NS rails again. I was around that model train shop in Palmyra two Falls ago, I remember shooting one hell of an H68 there, too bad the owner wouldn't let us park and use the station for cover from the rain.

@GenesisSanctuary It's not actually fouled, it's an older P5A, that's why it has the different tone, it's a different tuning.

Okay im only fourteen years old so dont make fun of the question but when a railroad is using another railroads power and its on the front does the original railroad run it or does the engine's railroad run it? For example 4:50. Please reply

Super catches and vid as usual, Eric! On that last shoot, was those oil cans coming from the Bakken Formation and do you know their final destination? Also, nailing that 90 "MIGHTY MAC" was sweet. Don't see too many of them around!

wow, you don't have to be 14 to ask that question, because I was wondering myself. I'm also curious as to the necessity of borrowing locomotives. Doesn't NS have several thousand locomotives? Are they really that strapped for power at times that it's necessary to use UP or BNSF locos? Is this usual? Would it not be uncommon to see NS locos out west on Union Pacific trains?
