Norfolk Southern trains and a race in Macungie, PA

Today I went up to Macungie to catch some Norfolk Southern trains. This video features 2 fast intermodals, a trash train with an ACe leader, and a race and horn battle between a GP38 high hood and a 165-car manifest.

A single lite unit would be restricted to 30 mph. Also the train had a clear signal and the Geep had an Approach signal meaning prepare to stop at the next signal. That’s how it was in 2019 when I retired. Rules do change all the time. I could be wrong.
