NSU drumline aren’t like most, they don’t have “bass drums”, they have Tonal bass’s, they don’t have the ability to play loud. TSU has about 12 large bass drums and that’s why all you hear is the bass drums and not the rest of TSU percussion.

NSU drumline “Bass Drums” can play a lot of different tunes and can be loud, TSU bass drums is horrible, just one flat sound, I hate that sound of a bass drum

NSU has tuned bass drums, they like to play with a more controlled sound. TSU have those paper sound bass drums as one of the host even said. Down in the deeper south , that’s what they’re use to, but a little further up north it’s much more about a controlled sound. Unfortunately you’ll never hear Norfolk’s percussion section with an uncontrolled overall sound.

TSU has a rounder sound. They arrange for their woodwind sections. I don't understand why everyone thinks they're just loud. There a a lot of dynamics in those arrangements. I'll go with them. NSU was good too. I was in the stadium and I give them their due. Besides, the missing song for copyright is the theme from Star Trek.
