Norfolk & Western articulated steam locomotives from the 1940's and 1950's.

The Norfolk & Western Railway built these locomotives around 1943 at their Roanoke Shops in Roanoke, Virginia. The locomotives were part of the Norfolk & Western's class A of fast freight locomotives.
