Your videos made me realize how lucky I actually am to be able to grow just about any tropical plants without efforts. Bananas, papayas, coconuts, guavas, cassava, mango, lemon, many kinds of herbs, wild vegetables and nightshades, and yes of course also taros (with roots as big as human thighs), they just happened to grow in my yards...I didn't even plant most of them (the ones I actually plant usually died, LoL), only takes care of them once every few months and harvests them weekly. But I admit that my yards looks like a jungle, LoLoLoL. Seeing you so diligently work hard and thoroughly, with so much care, patience, and perseverance to these plants opened my eyes. You also educated me through your enjoyable and relaxing videos. I RESPECT and ADMIRE people like you immensely. ❤❤❤ - A big fan from Indonesia -

I have planted some taro on a whim in a container (small space woes and container gardening was my only option) it grew a daughter plant and is now so huge, and pulling it out is so far unaccomplished. We actually eat the leaves here in the Philippines, after we chop and dry them in a famous dish called laing, basically dried taro leaves cooked in coconut cream, shrimp paste and sauteed pork. The leaves are now bigger than my face so I don't know if I should just let it grow more daughter plants and let them grow to harvest size first. I love watching your shows because indeed you make gardening seem so effortless and I respect your dilligence and industry in caring for tropical plants in Japan.
How can this be so relaxing and amazing at the same time? I think KZbin algorithm knows what I really need to watch in these stressful days. Keep up the Good Work!
Omgosh, I thought you were really going to ship your harvest. When I saw your cute little truck, I laughed so hard! I loved this video so much! I love taro, and now you have shown me it can be grown from grocery purchase. I'm going to try growing it in a container. Thank you so much!
We Jamaicans usually cook them whole you can use a potato peeler so as not to waste to much of the food inside. you can use them in porridge also of like pototoes

in my country we cook taro leaves its delicious. Saute garlic, onions, ginger, and pork meat with fat and skin (for those who eat pork meat) then if already golden brown add taro leaves and coconut milk. Add chili pepper and bagoong alamang (salted tiny shrimp) according to your taste. Cover until the meat and leaves are cook and coconut milk become oil. We eat this as appetizer.
