I just got one of these in .177, and have no doubt it has ZERO recoil. It's is kind of amazing how it feels to shoot. But I have some tips to make this gun even better. First, in my gun, it is pellet picky - and I mean very picky. It didn't seem to like light weight pellets. The accuracy was very bad - so bad I initially thought about returning the gun. At 50 yards I'm talking about 6 inch groups. But with the heavier Air Arms Diablo Field Heavy pellets (10.34 grains) the groups came down to about one inch. The other thing is the gun started to come loose as I shot it, and the sliding mechanism inside the barrel needed adjustment. Turns out Norica made this very easy to do - 4 bigger allen screws on the lower half of the stock, and two small 2.5 mm allen screws that engage the ZRS system at the front. Then there is a thin steel pin just forward of the trigger assembly that needs to be driven out, which on my gun was very easy to do - all you need is a small hammer and thin metal punch. The cylinder can then be slid out. At the back of the cylinder is a plastic sleeve with another 2.5 mm allen screw holding it to the cylinder, which was not tight and allowed the sleeve to loosen up, creating a lot of play which was killing my accuracy. A little blue Locktite and I snugged it up, but don't overtighten as these are small screws. I also used blue Loctite on the rest of the screws when I reassembled it. NOTE: The 2 forward facing 2.5 mm screws need to be threaded into the ZRS system properly or the barrel won't lock in the forward position after you cock it!! I added a very light coating of lithium grease to the sliding mechanism and now the gun is an absolute tac driver. I haven't tested the FPS over a chronograph, but I bet it is low 800ish with the Diablo heavy pellets. Another tip is get some Crossman Pellgun oil and add a few drops into the trigger assembly. This REALLY smoothed out the trigger and makes it sooooo much more enjoyable to shoot. Now at 50 yards this gun is a squirrel killer. Overall, this is quickly becoming my favorite break barrel. I am really hoping Gamo will adopt this technology into their Magnum series of break barrels, including the Swarm line. After I had the Norica apart I could see that there is absolutely no reason why the two technologies cannot be combined into one amazing high-power break barrel. A Gamo Magnum 10X Swarm with ZRS technology would absolutely corner the airgun market in my opinion. Are you listening Gamo???

Hello ! I also recently bought an Omnia and I think I'm having the problems you mentioned here. Could you make a short video to try to better understand the tuning of the zrs system?

Very cool technology. From what I've read, the ZRS tech can be (or could be) incoroporated into pretty much any springer design. For example, I believe the inventor has built one with the TX200 guts, and I also remember reading that it was initially going to be co-branded with the Cometa Fenix 400 springer, but the contract ended up with Norica in the end. The Spanish forums have some cool reading for those of you who enjoy geeking out on air gun info, reviews, and other people's experiences, etc. It's cool to see Rick so excited, and now I'm very intrigued about the ZRS...well done to the people responsible for bringing it to the market. Thank you Rick, your videos are always great.

Recoil for Break barrel Airguns are normal. They did a good job for the recoil 👍 I only wish they add 10 shots magazine with anti double feeder. It will be a top notch😀 👍Thanks for the review Rick 👍🙂👋

I’d like to see more of the internal workings. I own an Air King and it’s amazing. I’m intrigued by what they did to float the action. I agree with you about the stock, I’d also prefer something more traditional. But I do like pistol grips. They could make the stock look better in a tactical configuration.

Thanks for your comment. Actually, that’s how you shoot springers. It’s called the artillery hold, and it’s a necessary technique to be accurate with them. Now this specific gun is different. And, if you watched to the end, you’ll see that I bring that point out. This airgun is one of only a handful of springers (gas ram guns too) that can shoot accurately off a rest. Cheers AGW

Why not direct your audience to observe the reciprocal motion of the barrel in the stock when the gun is shot thereby achieving recoilless shooting?
@serfillustrated4018 Жыл бұрын
The barrel is moving toward the stock when you pull the trigger. So is it moving toward a piston to counter the recoil? I've been noticing these rifles popping up alot lately. While 660fps isn't terrible it doesn't matter if it isn't accurate. They look like a fugly kids toy. But im interested in seeing more if the same tech is in their cheaper rifles.

@milesstover3724 A magnum break barrel like the Gamo Magnum can do 30+ FPE whole the Airking Pro 54 does around 22+ FPE. There is still a decent gap in power from the two. The Airking is also $700+. If they can put the ZRS on a magnum air rifle while still around $300 and below, it would be a killer deal. I'd buy a PCP over an Airking Pro for the price it costs.
@milesstover3724 Жыл бұрын
@@barronhelmutschnitzelnazi2188 I own two of the newest Gamo Magnum break barrel rifles. The shorter whisper fusion mach 1 will average 750-770fps with 14.3gr pellet, where the 3i magnum will average 830-875fps with the same 14.3 pellet. Neither of these rifles comes anywhere near '30+ FPE' , with the exception of the 3i magnum being capable of pushing the light 9gr alloy .22 pellets up into supersonic range about 1100-1170fps, this is the only condition where this rifle will go to 30fpe in my experience. The real speeds of the Diana Airking Pro are very comparable to my experience with the 3i magnum, mid 800s fps. I own 7 break barrels and with that being said I fully agree with you id buy a PCP over the airking pro in a second. if you have good air infrastructure (compressors, tanks, pumps, etc) then PCP is really hard to beat these days all around

Tongue tied, literally can't speak when describing this ugly, ugly rifle. Not 1 word about the trigger. Accuracy was NOT what I demand for a $400 rifle.
