Thanks for watching. This blower has been in storage for a long time but it does start and run just not for long.

Hey bro, what's up? If im repairing my own equipment, I'll make sure that it's clean and working properly. I'll probably run it for a good ten to fifteen minutes before I'm satisfied with the way that it's supposed to be working.

I suspect the carbon buildup left in the engine by the port could be an issue. It seemed about halfway blocked to me. With that much carbon, I ensure the rings aren't immobilized, check the spark plug for carbon buildup, and ensure the gap is still in spec. If reuse gas filters, I give them a hit with carb cleaner spray in the fuel line to blow out any possible clogged pores. If I can, I let it soak for a bit before that.
@HomeGaragechannel
@HomeGaragechannel Ай бұрын
thank you for brining the exhaust port. The port has 2 profiles, the opening against the cylinder and the one for the muffler. They are not the same size. The opening on the cylinder side is much smaller.

there's quite the range. Sometimes it's on average around 110-120 PSI, but I have seen them as high as 140+.

you are way ahead of most fixers then, Most just get it running, and put it up for sale, trying to make a quick buck. Nothing wrong with that , but it's not me.

Hey, i have a honda gx 35 that i'm trying to start. It came without the carb and the carb mount, so i got a carb that is from a chainsaw and i build a mount to it. When it works, it works very well, but is almost impossible to start. I already tried to ajust the carb and it didn't made a diference, but when i utilized a air filter (sponge) to it it started and run but it never started again. Can you help me?
@HomeGaragechannel
@HomeGaragechannel Ай бұрын
sure then, get the correct carb and mount for it, otherwise you risk damaging the engine. I like what you did, and if it had worked without any problems then it's a double win. But since you're experiencing problems it's best to but the parts that's supposed to be on it.

not this time. As I was tuning the carb, the blower started to loose power and speed, as if it was loosing power. And when it did stop, the rope was twice as difficult to pull with or without the spark plug in the engine.

well from my own view i,d rather try the basics first after doing a good repair by the rules and vice versa and if i am happy one (1) part that,s good but the other one does not work out well then i look more into it and if that works that,s lovely and then finally doing cold starts until it clears out the system and then give the spark plug a good clean and replace it if needed and i never use those cheap and nasty spark plugs like Torch or Denso type and they will insure not easy starting for sure.
