I keep trying to like her Norma, and I just can't. I find the coloratura wanting, and her Italian is so poor she sounds like she doesn't understand what she's saying. Norma needs that extra something, that sovereignty, that she just doesn't have. But she's way better than Meade.

I just can’t stand the basic quality of the voice, especially in the middle/lower voice : hooty, opaque, colorless. the top is her saving grace but she can’t just live up there. also that awful vibrato that often creeps in. it’s unfortunate because she’s a very compelling performer
