It doesn't depend upon cc . It depends upon emission norms like my unicorn 150 bs4 manual says minimum octane 91 and my jawa bs6 manual says octane 93 and our activa 125 bs3 manual says min octane 87. So always refer to owners manual for correct fuel octane rating for ir bike

Power, speed, extra premium and power V all are 91 octane only. They have only added additives and detergents to clean the engine internals. High octane fuel are diffent. Namely Speed97 and HP 99octane.

Please do some research.. it's totally depends upon bikes Engine Compression Ratio that's it. If compression ratio is higher like 12.5:1 then use Premium Petrol. And if the compression ratio is lower than 10.5:1 then use Normal Petrol. It's not depends upon bikes engine "CC" (Cubic Capacity). Thats why bike like KTM Duke 125 which is having higher compression ratio 12.8:5 requires Premium Petrol and bike like Royal Enfield Interceptor GT650 which is having 9.5:1 compression ratio requires Normal Petrol.

Sir it doesn't depends on cc ,it all depends on compression ratio, higher compression ratio engines need higher octane fuel(having more quantity of isooctanes which have higher autoignition pressure ) to avoid knock/preignition .

Premium petrol provides more smooth instantly.. Normal petrol is not very preferable for new bikes because it degrade the efficiency, therefore it affects the combustion chambers and there is a formation of impurity, carbons, and there is more consumption of oil too...There I prefer use Octane 93> oil for better performance,speed and mileage and for long lasting engines. Well for scooty normal oil is better I must say N torq 125, 150 cc....

Please don't use normal petrol on that bike. This video is highly misleading. Cylinder volume has nothing to do with engine compression. Please follow the user manual. It has a 12:1 engine compression ratio and unleaded petrol is recommended. Rest is your choice. Fyi : any engine above 9.3:1 compression ratio should use high octane petrol.

Most motorcycle manufacturers recommend owners to use pure unleaded Petrol . High speed petrol has additives for better performance for ‘higher CC bikes’’. In 150,110cc scooty or bike it will hardly show any difference. High octane fuels have additives such as friction busters that might not suit your bike, plus a higher octane rating means that more heat is being produced in the engine that is not good for your bike's engine. So if you have a higher cc bike 200cc and above, then it will be beneficial for uh. Paying extra 10-15₹ per litre for a commuter bike doesn’t make any sense…stop wasting your money. 🙏🏻

This video is hugely misleading. You should never judge an engine by it's size (i.e cc). Volume of the engine cylinder is calculated in centimetres, hence its centimetres cube. This has nothing to do with its compression ratio. Please find the compression ratio of your scooter engine. If you find the compression ratio is more than 9.3 : 1 then use unleaded petrol, vice versa.

Wrong information! In India, the minimum octane rating for fuels as prescribed by Government through Bharat 3 emission norms is 91 Octane. The premium fuels like Extra-Premium, Speed and Power also have the same octane rating of 91. They, however, do consist of extra additives and detergents that clean the insides of the engine and prevent sludge formation on prolonged usage. As such there are only two types of fuels in India with a higher Octane rating than 91 namely, 93 Octane from Indian Oil and Speed 97 from Bharat Petroleum. Both are however only available in limited outlets across a few metro cities.

Don't worry my friend, normal petrol that comes with ethanol blend in general u can use it without any hesitation. But it will damage your engine slightly slightly. so you should go for premium petrols. even if your bike's engine doesn't made it the additives in petrol will take care of your engine. And premium petrols have higher octane numbers that will give u slightly better mileage.
