I am not a member of the medical profession. I am someone who had a large sellar suprasellar meningioma that was surgically reduced. I had my operation on 5th October 2015. I have lost. 95% of my sight and also had my Pituitary removed. I find these videos truly fascinating. Thank you.

Did you loose your sight due to the operation or removal?

Al Franco I started loosing my sight because the tumour was rupturing the optic nerves of my left eye. All the remaining nerves of the left eye and some of the right eye were ruptured during surgery.

Al Franco I was doing well until last year, but in June I had a stroke. I’m still recovering from that and prostate/bladder cancer from December 2015. The most important thing is never to give up, and never loose your sense of humour. My love for life is the best medicine ever. I wish you well and hope everything goes good for you.

Dude my pituitary is like twice that size I’m still waiting for the radiologist report

I’ve watched all of your presentations and learned a lot. I’ve had an MRI,with contrast, done recently for migraines. After viewing other pituitary imaging on your channel, I’m concerned about how my pituitary looks. There’s a black area in the corner of the left pituitary wing, and it’s very visible on the sagittal view. On the coronal view the dark spot is visible in the left corner and also the lower center. The pituitary appears to have a highlighted outline with a slightly darker contrast in the main body. There’s also an upward prominent hump at each end wing. There’s no visible optic chaism, and the upper carotid sipon on the left side is not visible? My pituitary doesn’t match anything that you’ve described on your channel. A endocrine Doctor at Cedars-Sinai has ordered a blood test. If I need any further testing or treatment, I will contact your department at UCSF. Thank you for sharing this information.

I had an MRI scan about a month ago. My pituatary gland is slightly enlarged. I was born prematurely and have mild coordination and balance problems. They are going to do a Contrast MRI scan.

Would a "pituitary protocol MRI" have the same detail as this as far as the entire brain or would it not show the whole brain?

Is it true if your not taking anti psychotic medicine and you're not pregnant are nursing or just had a baby and you started lactating that it's a tumor in your pituitary?

That could be because of a lot of reason, not just a tumor. The only way to confirm is to get an MRI.
