22 is a child lol. At least to me it is. I only had one friend who moved out by then and that’s because she had a kid. All of my siblings including myself were still at home at 22 and I was 22 well before the pandemic back when rent was cheap af. When I was 22, a newly built 3 bed 2.5 bath townhouse with a garage was only $1300/month. That’s what studio apartments go for now. Stay home as long as you can. I’m in my 30’s and quite a few of my friends moved back home because rent is that high. So it doesn’t make sense for ppl in their 20’s, who are just starting their career, to move out unless they have an unstable/unsafe living situation with their family.

Moving out in your 20s is such a US thing, in latin america we usually move out if go live with a partner or find a job far away from home.
