Superb! I really miss Mr. Jon Lord and I will enjoy watching his performance for rest of my life.

The music played in the beginning is first a short improvisation and then a slängpolska, a dance tune, from Sweden! The instrument that I play is the nyckelharpa. Oh, this makes me miss Jon so much...

Very beautiful. The slangpolska almost has a Slavic feel to it. My brothers and I had a Serbian wedding band when we were young. Accordion, drums and guitar. I was the drummer so I do love the beat in this song. You are very lucky to have met and played with Jon. What a talented and down to earth person and from what I have seen very funny too. Much of Deep Purple's music inspired me ..but this side of Jon is fascinating and what a way to grow musically....combining all his influences and love of music. It would have been wonderful to see how much more he would have grown and what directions he would have taken his music. Truly great and fun to watch!! Thanks for this wonderful piece!!!

Jon Lord was one of the greats of prog rock but he also carried with him a medieval soul very present in your music and musical taste as we can easily percieve when hear his solo albums...Very diverse and beautiful in a vein very different from Emerson and Wakeman...A very beautiful concert!!

Really he was hyperfusion here. The multiple músic faces of John Lord seem endless, and so it is understood what he and Blackmore got together.

So brilliant - a touch of Celtic musical genius and all the other Jon Lord musical attributes. Such a really scintillating piece.
@JacobSprenger
@JacobSprenger 8 жыл бұрын
Nothing particularly Celtic about that. It's rather based on Renaissance/Early Baroque music. The title, "Telemann Experiment" actually gives that away.

PROBABLY SINCE THE VERY BEGINNING THIS IS WHAT jON lORD WANTED TO DO as a musician since he was a student of piano: playing the classicS with a rock band in a new, energic spirit.

Are there ANY other rock musicians that have made such an excellent crossover to the other genres of music in such an accomplished manner. I can think of one who has done it the other way round, Andrew Lloyd Webber. Really miss Jon Lord for the talented all round musician he was and the gentlemanly manner he made his music with all.

It's a traditional Swedish musical instrument, called key harp (sometimes called a keyed fiddle). In Swedish we call it "nyckelharpa".

I read a interview of Lord,it was 2009,he said that he and Blackmore wanted to make some music together...and also they were actually jamming together.Now I see why...Lord loved medieval stuff,too!It is pity that they didn't release something.

So very beautiful xx going back to some of the roots of Western music makes so much sense, for any musician… Here is a link to Jon Lord’s “Sarabande”, also fascinating. The album features a number of pieces inspired by old music, performed with a band and orchestra. You’ll find the ‘Sarabande’ itself at 3:32 xx kzbin.info/www/bejne/qJywemCIbbCUZsU
