The world is filled with investors, some more capable, some less capable than Mark. In the long run equity matters the most. The most valuable shark tank product Ring didn't get any offers from Sharks. If your product is amazing it doesn't matter you're with Mark or not you're gonna succeed

They knew they were going to be big with or without a shark, so technically they didn't really need a shark. A shark definitely would've helped, but like I said, they knew they would do just fine without any sharks!

Keep in mind that Amazon takes 15% of EVERY SALE. And they're probably using fulfilled by Amazon feature (FBA) which gouges even more. Plus amazon returns are outrageously high compared to native brand sites. Hence their avoidance of amazon in the first place. That said, $4 million in revenue is not anywhere near to the valuation they were providing these sharks. Mark knew all of that and needed more. IMO they missed out when big time when turning him down.

They didn't come to make a deal. They though just appearing would blow them up. Mark's deal was fair. But they could have countered with 1 percent equity and 2.5 percent advisory. Douubt Mark would have rejected that. They missed big. As the other shark said, "It's Mark Cuban".
