And that is a team player. Spidey was never a team player,always a solo act. Itwas a recurring plot in his younger years how poorly he worked with others. And now it is even worse because he's a Where's Waldo one-of-several Spider-Man, like in the show that had him share the spotlight with Miles and Anya. Or in the case of Ultimate, literally every other spider person in there diluting the soup. The ultimate show started that trend and the newer show continued it.

That's how Stan originally wrote him,and may very well be why stan wrote Peter in the first place. He thought the adult superhero with a sidekick was pretty stale and tried and decided instead to make a teenager face the problems of an adult,and have the responsibility and maturity to not be a pupil,but rather a young kid who can learn from his mistakes in a way maybe older people can't.

I'm pretty sure they said that it'll be a prequel to the Tom Holland MCU spiderman but around one or two years ago they announced that it's set in a different universe, not part of the mainline MCU. So yeah... A lot of people disappointed by it because we all wanted to see the first few days of Tom becoming spiderman
