I don't know if anyone will see this or if it helps anyone on Nvidia, but I had these exact crashes and they all pointed to GPU. I haven't crashed in a week after doing this: -Downloaded the Game Ready Nvidia driver download from October 2024 (2 version back from most recent at this point in time). -Used the DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) tool to uninstall my GPU drivers entirely. -Once uninstalled, install that October game ready driver. -Reboot my PC and since then I've had zero crashes. This is using a 3060, but worth a shot of any card Nvidia, AMD, or Intel. Similar issues happened on Destiny 2's launch and going back a couple of driver versions helped regardless of what is SUPPOSED to work for most people.

I have had just as many crashes as you have. The worst aspect of the crashes, besides just them happening, is how LONG it takes to actually get back into the game. Hit play on steam, have to then hit launch in the launcher, sit through anti-cheat starting, shader compilation, the intro movies, a loading screen before the title screen, then the title screen where you must SPECIFICALLY Left Click, you then have to mash space to skip the intro video that always plays, and then FINALLY you have to hit reconnect instead of the game automatically reconnecting for you.

a memory leak wouldn't crash the game like that so fast, crashes like that are most likely just an access violation/segfault. You can easily spot a memory leak by watching the memory of the game with task manager, and even if it was leaking memory it wouldn't crash him this fast. It's possible to leak other things, not just memory, that can cause issues like this. But the most likely issue is just bad code with a fatal bug in it that happens to be executed quite often.

weirdly enough, what fixed it for me was going into my windows settings > display > graphics > change default graphics settings > and turning !!!OFF!!! Hardware-Accelerated GPU threading. This didnt just fix crashing for me, it fixed stuttering issues and freezing as well.

As much as I hate saying this next part "As a man with a major is game programming and experience", this is an issue with the game triggering a GPU Timeout, which is a collaborative internal issue between both Windows and your GPU (mostly NVIDIA has seen this problem in the past). The fix is to simply wait for a patch as any fix would be very temporary, from what I've read Marvel Rivals has a variety of Uncommon but bad issues, such as memory leaks. You can try some of the fixes but again they are temporary for the amount of effort it takes.

I would actually recommend submitting those Unreal crash reports everytime you crash. As it will actually help them figure out the issue, contacting support with the crash log could help them also accurately find a better fix. (Edit) Thinking about it, when I initially tried playing the game, using a 4090, I was getting VRAM and TDR errors. It took me until completely reinstalling my drivers, and reupdating my BIOS to fix the issue.

Apparently that "GPU Crash dump Triggered" can oftentimes be fixed by disabling over/underclocking of your GPU. If you have MSI Afterburner with a custom curve applied, or something similar, try disabling it. I've had this happen with Marvel Rivals and The Forever Winter and that tip helped.

My solution is playing strange and never using portal unless its to put at enemy spawn doors. If a portal is in my fov my game is sub 10 fps. I literally go from like 150 fps to like a powerpoint presentation disguising itself as a game from jist the portal existing nearby.

I encountered a similar problem with certain games due to a sagging GPU. The 30 and 40 series cards are quite heavy, and the back bracket and motherboard aren't sufficient to support them properly. It would be a good idea to use a support stick or some form of GPU support to hold the graphics card in place where it needs it. Stability is essential. I hope this helps; if not, good luck!

Hope he sees this, I had the same issue. The problem is that unreal engine is omega sensitive to gpus and stuff. You can breathe the wrong way and Unreal will crash. There are two fixes to this. One is to enable the following settings in Marvel Rivals to stop the crashing. This helped me go from 3 crashes a night to basically maybe 1 a week, sometimes none. Make sure power settings on your Pc is set to high performance Anti-Aliasing and super resolution type: Nvidia DLSS -Super Resolution Mode - Performance -Super Resolution Sharpening 80 Frame Generation Mode off Low latency mode - Nvidia Reflex low latency Turn off Vsync Set all your graphics settings to Low Set Global illumination to SSGI - Low Quality Set Reflection Quality to Screen Space Reflections Also i've noticed that the longer you have the game on, the rate of crashing increases. There is probably a memory leak somewhere. I just relaunch the game every 2hrs i'm on it to be safe.

To anyone else having this: Run on low/performance mode in the game’s settings until they fix things. No extra crap like DLSS. This did the trick for me. No crashes and no random fps drops. *EDIT/UPDATE* Mistook the DLSS setting as something else from memory. Thought it was off for some reason. 1440p DLSS on Performance 80 FGM off LLM off V sync off Graphics low Global Illumination ssgi high Reflection quality: screen space reflections Everything else set to low I7 12700 64gb (I just upgraded from 32 in last week though.) 3070 8GB with latest driver Gen 4 M2 drive 27” 1440p 165hz monitor No drops. No Dr Strange portal issues. Usually one of first to load and insta lock who I want to play.

At first everything was running smoothly when I first played then after a week of playing at high settings with good fps, my frames drop considerably more with no changes being made by my pc. I lowered performance but kept DLSS and shit like that on and still had terrible frame drops

I'm kinda late to learning about it, but ~6 months ago it was found that 13th and 14th gen Intel CPUs had a microcode issue and manufacturing issue that could lead to system instability. If you have a CPU on that platform you might want to swap mobo and cpu. The game could also be poorly optimized but I haven't personally had issues.

I have 13th gen Intel and running maxed settings Lumen Lighting Ultra and have only crashed once in 140hrs of gameplay. Never in ranked. Ppls saying its a GPU issue, but my drivers haven't been updated since Stalker 2 (September i think) so idk what the issue is.

@@alterra5429 Correct! But a lot of them were undervolted, including my own. A BIOS update fixes it, at least in recent timeframes, but I used to crash in EVERY UE5 game, regardless of what it was. It always gets falsely flagged as a GPU issue, which is why people are probably misunderstanding it as one

I fixed the crashing issue by changing the upscaler in the ingame settings to “TAAU” then clearing the shader cache folder for my NVIDIA card. This worked for both PCs in the house but may vary on your hardware and applications running in the background. Tinker with the TAAU resolution slider until you’re happy with the clarity. This worked on 2 PCs with an RTX 3070 & RTX 2070 for reference. Hope it helps!

Charlie, I have been having this problem too. My solution to the problem has been that I can’t play the game and stream at the same time. I can play the game for infinite hours if I don’t stream it, but if I stream it then crashes after an hour and a half or so. Try this and let me know what you find. It has worked for me, but I hate that you can’t stream it without crashing. Hope they fix it

That's a GPU crash 2:42, it's asking you to launch in gpu debug mode. Recheck you have the latest drivers, as Nvidia waited till the very last day to add support for Rivals, which was the launch day. Nvidia still does not have Geforce Experience optimised settings for Rivals, don't know whose fault is it, Marvel, NetEase or Nvidia but for now, lower your setting to LOW, it'll get you the most FPS and won't cause crashes.

there is a issue with marvel rivals launcher, every single time you open and close the game it adds a (marvel rivals launcher) in the task manager, so reopening multiple times adds them up. make sure to go there and hard close that thing after playing!! if you dont restart your pc you will have a couple hidden at all times!

A lot of people ( myself included) are having trouble even loading in to games. It gets stuck at 99% during match load-in, and you can still hear the game going on while your loading in. Can’t even play.

This happens to me, but normally I just have to wait an extra 30-90 seconds to load in. It sucks in QP cause sometimes the match will start and I'm on defense and I'm still in spawn when I load in. Don't have issues with it at all in comp tho, because they make sure everyone is loaded in before the game starts.

This is most probably having the game installed on an Hard drive instead of an SSD, when i first played i had the game installed on my HDD and couldn't load in time, then moved it to the SSD (i only got 256gb so i had to make room) but it was worth, now I can load in on time. The minimum requirements to state that an SSD is highly recommended. if you got the cash id totally get one man, its super worth.

I also started to crash a lot, but then I opened up nvidia and saw there is an update to the graphics card that helps marvel rivals and other new games work better, and that solved the issue for me. It's so frustrating that there was no warning or anything about needing this update to prevent crashes.

It’s not just in marvel rivals. I’ve personally experienced this happen in many games. Where for some reason it feels like the more fun you have the more likely you are to crash/disconnect. It honestly sometimes feels like someone or something is actively trying to stop you from playing the game.

You could always get a slower computer and it might work better lol. You can also try locking the frame rate or turning on vsync as new hardware can crash software if its "trying" too hard.

I think this game has a really bad memory leak and the more you play the more likely you will crash due to it building up. Also Doctor Strange. I notice when i play him i when Pressing E or when creating a portal. Also when other play doctor Strange i crash too though its not as often as when i play him. I think some Hero's abilities are causing a lot of these crashes. Though i couldn't tell you what the core issue is. PSA: Make sure you're deleting the crash files that are being created every time you crash. It can add up. Heard someone the other day say they had 120GB in just crash dumps files. Mine was a 20GB when i deleted them. But yeah aside from the memory leak certain hero's abilities are causing these crashes. and if you look at most of your crashes they seem to happen when someone is popping an ultimate or using ability. I was able to reduce my crash down to maybe 1 a day or 1 every 2 days by capping my FPS to my monitors refresh rate "Which is 120hz" So i capped it to 120FPS.

Your computer has updates installed and needs restart (bottom right icon). Some updates might be major so maybe u have delayed a bios update for long and this crushes it. + you could have a disk clean or do a deep clean on the hardware. Contrary to what most people have said about the game, I've crushed only once during the first days of release. I even play on a laptop

Nawh I'm on an AMD CPU and an Nvidia GPU. The only reccomended spec I don't have is 8g of video ram, but I have 6 on my GPU, the minimum for rivals is 4, and everything else meets or exceeds the reccomended specs for the game.

Was having a lot of isssues aswell downloaded a program that allows me to control my cpu processing power (intel extreme tuning utility) and I lowered it bc my computer was working too hard. And i haven’t had any issues since. (Edit: I lowered my processing power from 55->51 I’d recommend doing low adjustments) (edit #2 my problem was also related to memory so pls try this)
