Medal of Honor: Airborne is a World War II first-person shooter video game and the 11th installment of the Medal of Honor series. It was developed by EA LA and was released worldwide on Mobile phones in August 2007, and on Microsoft Windows and Xbox 360 in September 2007. Versions for the PlayStation 2, Wii, and Xbox were planned but they were cancelled in 2007. Instead, Medal of Honor: Vanguard was released exclusively for the first two consoles. A PlayStation 3 version was released November 2007. The game takes place in the European theater of World War II, and is the first in the series to focus only on paratrooper activities.

​@@k_zelite4921 yeah Parachutes make falls from high altitude survivable but the angle and speed of landing makes a difference too You land on your feet wrong and you're liable to snap your own shins Keep in mind that in real life, the paratroopers were carrying a lot of gear too Gear that added to the weight of each individual soldier So yes its very possible to suffer an injury even with a parachute

A few things I noticed on the jump: The jumpmaster isn't hooked in. Everyone's static line is routed under their arm instead of over their arm. That would mean serious injuries. Also the static lines and deployment bags aren't collecting outside of the door with each guy who exits. Also the player doesn't land with feet and knees together. Which would surely injure him, nor does he unclip out of his parachute harness.

ok, obvious historical problems aside, this level is a shining example of developer ignorance. 1: you would've landed either before or after the landings2: how is the plane still flying after getting hit. you're what? 15,000 feet?3: there is no fucking way that you should be able to take a shell blast from a tiger and live, even if it is splash damage. the same with the flak tower; you can eat a rocket shell and still survive.

Never understood why they had this jump taking place at dawn... obviously should have been at night time. And why are the invasion ships in the distance??? The goal of the paratrooper jumps was to capture strategic points and menace the enemy BEFORE the landings.

@@baharchange yes, the jumps were meant to clear an inroad, keep the Germans from reinforcing the beaches, and to capture key objectives. The jumps happened in the early hours of the invasion, well before the infantry hit the beaches. The game showed it as happening simultaneously.

It depends, in Normandy yes it was at night, but if you read the book or watched the show Band of Brothers or know anything about Operation Market Garden you would know they landed during the day. despite the fact that there shouldn't be that many. you fight 2 tanks in game. Seems accurate. They were only deployed due to desperation. But the toughness is also period accurate. The Gammon Grenades are not. The whole mission should take place on june 5th, not 6th and away from the beach head, as they would not have permission to do so. they would be flying further south, towards the bridges and roads. Just my two cents

this is a history fact im not against the game i actually loved it growing up but the paratroopers never landed right behind utah beach and helped the beach landing troops by going to the bunkers and during right during the invasion , etc.. the paratroopers of the 82nd were to capture and hold Sainte-Mère-Église, capturing bridges over the Merderet at la Fière and Chef-du-Pont, secure possession of a beachhead west of the Merderet river and destroy the Douve bridges at Etienville and Beuzeville-la-Bastille they had 6 hours to accomplish the objectives before the beach landings but due to the missdrops all over normandy they were only able to accomplish one of their objectives which was the capture and hold of Sainte-Mère-Église

Seven Rysavy Thats where u are all wrong.Sherman with 75mm has no way of penetrating tiger anywhere but a 1 in a million shot in the turret ring.Tiger has side and rear armor the same thickness of 80mm so shoting it in the rear wont do any better than in the front.

This isn't the proper jump technique. You jump with arms firmly at your side, when the parachute deploys then you grab the wires. When you hit the ground you will tumble on your side then out your weapon in action and proceed with the mission
