When he said "Øœn'n'æ--æng'm-n'ajøæœꜵæœ Hum'næœꜵ'n-ø-nøŋ-æng'd'ŋꜵæ", I felt that.

Nonsensical vocals, spoken by the composers themselves. Laforest originally did alot of that in his soundtracks. Each language can have it's own interpretation.

@@Martyste Allegedly, according to a comment on the original version of the song, the sung language is Gaulish (very old French). The lyrics may have changed to be nonsense, maybe the following translated lyrics are incorrect. I do not know, but here's what was written in the comment: The reason no one can generally understand the lyrics is that they're in ancient Gaulish, which is no longer spoken today but still has some cognates in French. Roughly translated, the lyrics are: You were my bothersome neighbor who did not know what fear was In those days we were like children ignorant of the world You were my bothersome neighbor who did not know what fear was In those days we were like children ignorant of the world Then the great and terrible Romans came and took our innocence They showed you that you were not invincible Then the great and terrible Romans came and took our innocence They showed you that you were not invincible Is that why you betrayed us and joined them? How was it that you could join them? [Chanting] Is that why you betrayed us and joined them? How was it that you could join them? Is that why you betrayed us and joined them? [Background music cuts out] How was it that you could join them?

Butchered is way too harsh; though I'll admit they overhauled the aesthetic from a free-for-all Battle between normands to an electro-nordic rave you just busted with your menhir.
