Loved this interview. I also love how this woman always shouts out Ciara because so many people try to downplay her influence. I'mma ride for Normani, can't wait for the album

But why this guy cut Normani off when she is talking about something so important. :-(. But is so true about people's perception of black women. They seem to think that all they can do is twerk. But then again, that's what most of them think they have to do to make it in the industry. I hope Normani don't follow the norm and fall into the stereotype (her while painting and her billboard pic). It's not really important to "fit in" but it is important to Stand Out as an individual and prove all the gainsayers wrong.

I think there’s no rush for her to put out her album, I think people don’t understand what’s like to make something. That they not ready to, making music takes time and energy to make. Just when she was in Fifth Harmony, she and the girls didn’t much say what they want in their music. I understand why she’s taking her time making her first album.

If you’ve seen how ugly Twitter is to her because of Camila, Nicki, Beyoncé and Chloe fans hating on her they degrade and attack her for anything she says or does I can see why she’s private to protect herself. With anyone who has ever gone through any kind of bullying it’s gets harder to open up nonetheless doing so in front of the public eye. I kind like that she keeps to herself, there’s mystery’s there.
