Normani connects with Zane Lowe to discuss her highly awaited song, “Fair.” The track is Normani’s first single after her wildly successful collaboration with Cardi B on “Wild Side.” She explains that writing and singing “Fair” was a therapeutic process for her that required extreme emotional vulnerability while navigating heartbreak. The slow-simmering ballad is a step away from the singer’s usual danceable jams and provides a nice backdrop for basking in the tone and emotional texture of her voice. Racism in the recording industry. She is Black American woman whose culture has powered the music industry in America. Many great female vocalist. Their image is this erased in the music industry. It is also said in circles that a member of her old group Camila has a manager who is doing things behind the scenes. She is some Hispanic chick who can’t sing and made really horrible racist profiles and attacked Normani. Do your homework it is all in the lining.

@@Monsterpoxa also Normani truly was the under dog in fifth harmony. She had the best stage presence and was the best dancer yet barely got any recognition from the fans or her label. She was always pushed to the back or the least favored. It was very sad to see and you can tell it took a toll on her confidence. Going solo Many people rooted for Camila and Lauren (Dinah too) but not many rooted for Mani until she showed what she was capable of with Love lied. Thanks to Khalid. Aside from Camila, Normani is the most successful out of 5h. Im very proud of her

Normani has too much class to be specific but lets not mess around. You know we haven't even heard about a TENTH about what she's gone through in the industry particularly I'm guessing when she was in fifth harmony. Then her songs being taking off apple music then the VMA's debacle. That's why despite only sporadically dropping singles she has amassed a huge fanbase. People particularly WOC know exactly what she's been through/talking about without her saying. But you can;t stop greatness. And all those people, the ones who dismissed her as just the "dark skinned back up dancer" in the group or tried to keep her down will be the ones eating their words because she is a SUPERSTAR. Seriously she has a level of talent that can put her in the big leagues. It's no wonder her, Doja and ChloexHalle are all friends and hang in the same cirles. Greatness recognises greatness. Those 4 are the next big stars in the industry.

It’s deeper than what people realize but many don’t take the time to recognize these life defining moments take time and need to be processed by the individual organically and authentically… instead it’s easy for outsiders to ignore someone’s personal growth and instead will criticize and scrutinize one’s journey.
