You can not get anymore American than the Nelsons. Ricky always was a Star and a gentleman, even through all the Garden Party era he always took the higher road. You can see his sons inherited his great traits. Thank y’all. 100% RESPECT. 👍😎✌️

I just want to clarify the timeline though. Garden Party came out in 1972. The Beatles broke up in 1970.

The Ozzie and Harriet show was their grandparents show. They were always wholesome ppl showing daily life themes. Rick Nelson got his start playing himself on that show and was one of my earliest memories as a young boy. When he started his band he was highlighted on TV programs and that was my only exposure to his music besides listening on am/fm local radio stations. His music was inspiring as a New sound that was fresh and creative. Country Rock became my most favorite music . Their family if alive would be very proud of them.

My maternal grandmother loved Ricky Nelson, and loved the song," Hello Mary Lou". " Granny" would play it for us sometimes when we would go visit her. Then, Granny was tickled pink when I asked for a Nelson cassette tape for Christmas. Between Granny and my folks I sure did get my casette tape for Christmas, lol! Also, I heard that Gunnar gave his heart to the Lord. I hope it's true. I hope and pray that Matthew knows Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, as well. Jesus loves you with an everlasting love! ❤

Remember so clearly you watching Ozzie and Harriet and I couldn’t wait to see if Rick was going to sing for the show. I was so disappointed if there was a show with no song. He may have been one of my first crushes. Of course he was gorgeous, but I also loved how his eyes just closed slowly, and I knew he was into the song. There is nothing else like siblings singing together. What a wonderful sound you guys have and you honor your father by singing his songs and doing it so well. I’m glad you guys went into music. Thanks for the treat here.

Saw their dad at the Orange County Fair back in the early 80s. Even though I was only 19, I knew Ricky’s songs. Tried to bring my girlfriend at the time into the show but she wanted to be with her friends. I knew I’d get her back. Let her go and took a hold of one of her friends hands and drug her in and got right up to the stage. Great show. I can really see Ozzie in them. Hear him too. I’m only four years older than they are, crazy. I still watch reruns of the shows. That Norman guy looks a lot like the Pastor of our church who loves guitars. Pastor Bill Welsh of Calvary Chapel Refuge in HB.

Very cool to see Ricky’s sons playing guitars! One of my favorite covers of this song was done by “The New Riders of the Purple Sage” aka: NRPS, it was done in the early ‘70’s. They did a kind of mix of Californian Country Rock with Greatful Dead overtones. ( Garcia played pedal steel guitar on their first album)
