Finally soimeone who gets that the nine realms are not seperate worlds, but more land lands, or borders within the same landmass. Although still not sure where the notion that the Jotunns are giants comes from.

the world is a vast plane... the realms are all on the same plane but they are separated and bound by borders (rings) of different kinds. space is an invention of cheap tricksters, and not particularly clever ones... the realms are in essence separate worlds. the Giants have been pushed to the peripheries of our realm beyond the ice wall (south). as to their origin it is probably the centre (far north) just like us.
