Nortent Vern 1 PC windy overnight camping

Finally some bare ground to pitch the tent after a long winter on the ice. Time to do a second sleepover in my solo tent. Hit by some heavy wind while I try to do a tarp setup. Tested out an old Primus Optimus 111 for heating. Ice fishing with catch.

Nice camp, you live in a beautiful place …. unbelievable performance of the tent in the wind, the fabric doesn’t move at all 😮, … hope they come out with an updated version soon

Thanks. I sleep 9 hour strait without waking up once during the night. So silent tent, no sound at all. Im planning to get the Vern 2 or 3 next, gonna be interesting to compair the different fabrics.. :)

@@LostInIce4 mostly 3 things, floor 10000 HH and possibility to be double poled like the silnylon version and some vents at the top of the tent, to be less affected by snow coverage

Really enjoyed this. Relaxing video. I, too, have an old primus that belonged to my Father. It is one of my most treasured possessions.

Yeah, Im gonna take good care of this one. Have some good and bad memories involving this primus from my childhood :) we are actually sitting on a beach right now and boiling rice for dinner.. watched most of your videos, great inspirations for me!

I made the decision to sell my Hilleberg Staika tent in favor of the Vern 1 PC due to its superior performance in cold weather conditions, particularly with regard to condensation management. Additionally, its remarkable silence and sturdiness during extreme winds further enhance its appeal as a reliable shelter.

The only reason I will chose a nylon tent before polycotton is the weight. I love this fabric so much!
