North America's HIGHEST Via Ferrata // ARAPAHOE BASIN // Colorado Mountains Summer

In this video we embark on a bucket list adventure in the Colorado Mountains, the A Basin Via Ferrata, Arapahoe Basin Ski Area's latest summer attraction
Arapahoe Basin is located in Summit County Colorado. It is one of the highest elevation ski resorts in the area and this new Colorado via Ferrata is the highest via Ferrata in North America.
If you are thinking about getting into Colorado Rock Climbing, this is a great first step to get the feel of what it is like to be in a harness in a safe environment. This new activity will quickly become one of the best things to do in Summit County, Colorado.

Beautiful views and looked like fun (and hard work!). Glad you guys got out before any lightning 🌩 got close! Wouldn't be a good place to be there out in the open and connected to metal cables and foot steps! They say lighting can travel 10-12 miles, further than the sound of thunder can travel, so if you can hear thunder you are within striking distance of lighting! I'd like to do a climb like this but jump off and parachute down!

Yeah the thunder was definitely a little nerve-wracking, but the guides were on top of it and they even had someone in the lodge keeping track of the weather patterns and radioing updates to us. We felt safe in their hands
