Helloo Ken...Good Afternoon man hoped your week is jolly ole fun and full of mileage commute energy lol@ soo good as usual to loyally tuned into your awessume recent and throwback streams, Thiz was a great 3hr sweeet walk that you and Meghan shared around majority of your hometown North Bay and to see your first house you stayed in the neighborhood overlooking the escarpment woww i lolike the peace and quiet less congestion and slim to none rowdy commotions as per Toronto lol. nice to see the lakeshore along lake nipissing and the big white ferry boat which transformed into a restaurant and lounge even at night daily tours woww. and the citys central sewer waste facility along with the beach opposite the street from it as you say is some of the best fishing in the wole north! oooh soo happy to spot GO train locomotives at that Ontario northland train garage facility haha. i need to get my self up there stay cauple days inna motel and checked out Greco pizza. i know why meghan likes it to the max now lol. authentic balla boom bolla bing taste lol. cheers

I was surprised to see a curry house on Main Street. My original trip to Toronto was to find such places on Gerrard: Moti Nahal and Udupi Palace. But North Bay wasn't where I expected to see such a place. Speculating it came after Ken's school days.

Good day, Ken & Meghan! Happy Birthday to Meghan! Thanks much for showing us around & some of the area you are videoing, I remember it, as I boarded with an Air Force family as a high school student & travelled on Trout Lake Road into the city to attend high school. When I first arrived in North Bay for high school, I boarded at a home on Cassells Street. Lived also at corner of Main & John streets for a spell & remember there was a Firestone garage across from the rooming house, that was back in the late 60's/early 70's. Thanks for a great walk & hope you & Meghan had a great rest after this long walk! Much kudos to you both for taking is so many, many, steps, to bring us this enjoyable content! The reason behind the playground at EW Norman being gone is actually that they just permanently closed that school. NNDSB has been closing a lot of schools in North Bay, and only built one new school where Fricker used to be. The new school isn't even very big either, I heard that it's already supposed to be overpopulated, despite it not even opening yet...

Meghan might find the cowboy (or cowgirl?) boots she wants for a good price if she keeps checking up on Kijiji. And a belated Happy Birthday! Have you eaten at The Cedar Tree Lebanese restaurant? I've actually been wondering about that place before because there used to be a Lebanese restaurant by that same name in Toronto. Maybe they're the same people? I looked at their website. It's the same people since 2009, so maybe only the building was sold not the restaurant. I had to freeze the video to look at the wall mural. I also saw Sarah McLachlan, Oscar Peterson, Ed Robertson from Barenaked Ladies, Anne Murray?, Rita MacNeil?, Joni Mitchell and Paul Anka. Thanks for showing your hometown North Bay again. When I was younger, it's the place I never got to when my older brother went a couple of times on fishing trips with his friends to North Bay and Lake Nippissing.

She found some cowboy boots in Kensington Market when we got back to Toronto! I used to eat at the Cedar Tree all the time during my last couple of years in North Bay, it was great! I'm not sure if it's connected to the one in Toronto.

LOL! Seven Seas was incredible! Their half-chicken and fries, or their fish and fries, could put any chicken or fish joint in Canada to shame. There was literally enough food in those takeaway boxes to fill two big dinner plates. Also, pour a fifth on the sidewalk for Leo's Barbershop, which was in the same storefront areas as Seven Seas. Note: gonna try not to spam this vid but it isn't going well so far.
