Hope you enjoyed your visit to Yorkshire, the Scarborough North Bay has many lasting memories from my childhood in the early 70s, including the railway & the water chute & the chairlift up to the theme park. I’ve travelled all around the world since, but this is my favourite place to return to, especially Peasholme Park & feeding the squirrels

I'm disappointed that you didn't go on the water chute Mike! It's great fun albeit a bit wet. The NBR has been there forever and is wonderful. There was a cable car there many years ago, sadly long gone now.

I wonder why that cable car was not maintained. If its never going to be reused, those supports ought to be removed as it leaves the wrong impression with visitors.

Been on there a few times , it’s a lovely scenic railway in Gods own part of the Country !!! even stayed dry for you Mike

It couldn't really rain on every day could it? It did on all the others, but we still enjoyed ourselves.

I was hoping to find a descriptive booklet telling of the railways history but didn't find any. Perhaps there is a website, I haven't had time to look yet!
