Those Conrail loci's were a long way away from home. I see a few BC Rail loci's in train videos in the Chicago and even further east on the eastern seaboard area on CN trains. Looks like someone go to go on a road trip. Nice videos you took.

Thanks. Those road trips way back when were fun. Too much stress on the pavement for an old-folk (fogey?) these days.

Wow. So much has changed since then. From the railcars to the locomotives, to the tracks themselves. The only constant is the beautiful mountain scenery. :)

July 1988. It says so on the opening title. I have video of cabooses in use on Vancouver Island in 1990.

The end of the caboose era. Thats about the same time they took the English off the Rail Way Crossing signs and replaced them with the multicultural X.
