This video I finally complete the legendary North Coast 500 which runs just over 500 miles round the top of the Scottish Highlands. Some stunning roads, scenery and nasty stone chips!

Just come across your channel - I'm mainly interested in your E46 M3 content. Im a bloke in my early 20's saving up for one, as the car has huge sentimental value to me because of my father. Your content is absolutely fantastic, and brings back a lot of those memories. Thank you, and I hope your channel continues to grow

Hi Harry, glad your enjoying the e46 M3 content (plenty of it on the channel) the cars a forever one for me so lots more to come including a full “4 years later” recap that I’m putting together currently 👍 Good luck on your search for one, I’m sure you won’t be disappointed re-living those memories when you get yours 👌

Picked good weather for it 😎 East side had two speed camera vans and saw 1 un-marked on the west side so keep an eye on the speed, some National parts you will struggle to touch 40 mph then others you think you could do 3 times that lol
@MSchumacherfan4 жыл бұрын
Got to ask a few questions... National speed limit? Also some of those roads look lime one way roads because it’s only wide enough for 1 car? Beautiful scenery, CSL jealously.. never got those in the 🇺🇸
@stoneautomotive4 жыл бұрын
Hi George, National speed limit in the UK varies - typically single carriage way is 60mph / dual carriage way 70mph. Yes parts are tight & 60mph was more than enough allowance given the tight winding roads 👍 The roads were 2 way with “passing slots” so you could find yourself reversing back to one if you encounter another car so certainly better to go when it’s not summer holidays 👍 Yea heard you guys in the states got short changed for the sale of the CSL!

Great review of the North Coast. Considering the other cars you own and get to drive, does the E46 ever feel lacking in power esp after your upgrades?
@stoneautomotive4 жыл бұрын
Thanks 😊 It’s funny because i get asked this a lot more so as I ride the motorbikes which is a completely different level of speed, the E46 M3 just communicates with you so well and the S54 power unit has such predictable & rewarding power curve that it always excites. The e92 is the faster car on a run but masks it speed with its weights and large size.. The modifications have really transformed the e46 over the years and the 4.1 makes it feel a lot faster in real world conditions as your pulling through the revs so much faster. Still more planned for the e46 but I really need to start building a larger garage to house all these toys 🙈

@@stoneautomotive Good to know as I do have the 4.1 myself but keep thinking wether I should continue, as you know mods are expensive on the M3s. Will you do Cams at some point?
@stoneautomotive4 жыл бұрын
Oh yes they are certainly not cheap to tune, even harder without forced induction! You can never say never but other than maintenance to the engine I have no plans for cams as it’s big outlay for small gains! I accept there are many faster cars out there for the money but suspension + rear brake upgrades are the only plans left for the e46 as it’s where I want it to be now. Need to get it back to the ring 😎
@USMANKYOUSAFZAI4 жыл бұрын
@@stoneautomotive Now if you can somehow manage your e92 m3 vs e46 m3 that would be a very interesting vid. Course the E92 will be quicker but would be interesting to see how much of a difference there is with your mods.
@stoneautomotive4 жыл бұрын
Sub 100mph my money would be on the e46 M3, the plan’s is to put the two together soon 😈 I did want to wait till the e92 had the pre-cats out to give it some more mid-range as the e46 has had plenty more mods installed
