Loving your vids.bought an old bongo yesterday. I've grown up in rural Scotland and live in the heart of Jockland. Camped and travelled through a lot of the places you visit,and probably took it for granted.but,you're right it's amazing.

Tim and Mandy, what a wonderful showcase for Scotland, which, as you have shown, is great in any weather. Excellent timelapse photography interspersed with drone footage, and not forgetting the super videography. A joy to watch. But I am jealous as hell of that Bongo, mate! You're living the life, guys! Thanks Guys! just like yourselves we enjoy taking the camera its a real part of the whole trip, lol the Bongo did so well, 2000 miles in all and she's 20 years old, the passes up that way are relentless for older vehicles but she kept on pushing through. I think you two would love it, I bet you could do it five times and have five completely different experiences, thanks for watching :) Tim and Mandy

Hi Peter your very kind my friend, hope you get to do NC500 soon mate, so much to see, it could be incorporated with some of those classic munros, which I think is missing off most videos of this tour, they all seem to drive past the mountains! :) Tim

Great trip Tim, top notch. Your van is sure taking you to some special places. Spectacular views from the tops of those peaks. And the still shots of the night sky were amazing, I could stare at that for hours. Sometimes I do. Cool cave, and some very nice old cars too. Great video Tim. Nick.
@savedpurplecat8 жыл бұрын
Thanks Nick I'm always amazed how little people pay attention to the stars! I know in the UK we get so many cloudy nights but like yourself I find the Universe utterly over powering! all those shooting stars constantly trying to break through our atmosphere but so very rarely do, so so awesome. Thanks for watching mate, if you ever get over to the UK come pay us a visit :) Tim and Mandy

Ossie I was taken back at the detail in the spiral arm! so many milky colours.The shooting stars were special but like trying to film a surfacing whale impossible to catch! Scotland is indeed gorgeous! Even with the rough weather the splendor of this amazing place came through in your video. Glad Mandy saved you some prawns. LOL. Wow! The night sky was unbelievable. Our Creator of the universe is awesome! I can tell you and Mandy had a blast. How did the Bongo handle its new conversion? You made me smile at the end.......A Billion Star Hotel! I agree completely! Even in our crazy world, I do not fear. Thank you for that promise. Well done. I enjoyed taking the trip with you. Take care, friend.

Dwight we had a great holiday mate! yes I thought id wind Mandy up on the radio, because she kept say over after every conversation so funny! The Stars were a real blessing Mate, I felt humbled to have seen them on such a dark and clear night. The conversion worked ever so well, the swivel seat turned out to be essential after 14 straight nights in it, it just gives that extra two feet of room. God bless my brother :) Tim

Thanks Murray, I think its a great idea as it gets people to see far more of Scotland's hidden gems. 1998 wow that was a different millennia lol

@@savedpurplecat saw one of Murray's videos from up in north west corner and i told him my mother grew up on a croft on the shore of loch Laxford. I need to head up to that corner to connect with my heritage, stunning views and soundtrack. Yourself and Murray know how to sell a place. Congratulations on video.

Hi Tim. We hope to do it next year, trying to decide whether to hire a camper van or arrange B&B, your film helped with where we wanted to go and what to see. Just need to weigh up costs. Sue

Great video thanks, out of interest what was the approximate cost of doing the NC500?
@savedpurplecat7 жыл бұрын
Hi there I think we spent around £400 in fuel (25 mpg) We came from south Manchester and went off on a fair few detours too. Food wise we took most of it with us, having the occasional meal in a pub. We also stayed on three proper camp sites on the way around to refresh, shower etc. So it cost around £700 all in all, but it can be done much cheaper, using a more economical vehicle. Thanks for watching

Great video! Any problems with the Bongo or can you recommend it?
@savedpurplecat4 жыл бұрын
Thanks the Bongo was perfect no problems at all, yes as a first camper I highly recommend one as they are cheap, they hold their value and if you find you really enjoy using a camper you may get something a bit bigger in time :) Tim/Mandy
