thanks for the video and what i want to mention to the people why the prices is lower in North Cyprus besides the obvious compare to the South is like a stollen car that you buy on a good price and you find out that the title is rebuild or salvaged the same is that the titles in the North are exchange titles issued after the Turkish invasion of 1974 when the original title holders and owners were forced out

Remember looking over the castle wall's at Kyrenia in 1971 and thinking how beautiful it was. Less tourism then , was serving with the Brits. Would love to go back and hope to next year all going well. Thanks for video.

I am from united states and visited cyprus (limassol & paphos) for 3 months. Cyprus has a temporary visa for longer stays than 90 days.. Does North Cyprus have different longer stay visa requirements? How long can I stay without becoming illegal ?

Hi Phillip, thank you for your question. Once you enter North Cyprus, you will be given 30-90 days as a tourist, then you will need to apply for permit residence. If you are going to buy property, you can get your residence permit for 6 months-1 year and then you prolong it every year.

Thank you for this video. I'm glad to hear that buying property is not illegal. I heard that previous property owners from North Cyprus are allowed to reclaim their properties. I also read that it can take years to get the title deed.

Thank you for your comment. Yes, buying property is totally legal. Getting titles sometimes takes time, but not years in general. Before buying an apartment strongly recommend to check everything about title, so you dont get any troubles and better to deal with trustworthy agencies or developers.

@@emmcee2678 Make sure the bank is trustworthy and you can perhaps sign the agreements there. I would also consider a local lawyer to read the fine print, if you're not comfortable comprehending the details on your own. I would not allow for one single individual to take care of the entire case. In theory you money could get ''lost'' on the way. I would also be a little bit careful that you don't have two people who know each other working a scam, unlikely as it may be. That's one reason to sign all documents in a location such as the bank that is handling the money coming in from the Turkish bank.

There is left side traffic in Cyprus, maybe some drivers use right hand drive cars, but thats the minority

The driving standards are so bad they appear to drive on both sides of the road in TRNC whilst using their mobile phones. Officially drive on left like UK, but so many flooded in from Turkey where they drive on other side, it is hardly any wonder there are so many accidents!

the reason it can be a crime to buy property on the occupied northern Cyprus is when land / houses belonging to greek speaking cypriots are sold, no matter to whom. the same is for properties on the south side, properties that belong to the turkish speaking cypriots cannot be sold to anyone, it is not allowed. if you are a cypriot refugee or poor you have the right to borrow property that has been abandoned since the war but it will never be yours as the plan and hope has always been that the rightful owner of the property will move back.

We don't sell properties which might cause issies for the owner in the future. We only sell property with proper title deed
